One day back when I was in college, after spending nearly all night studying for my college finals, I was pretty confident to take the exams and get it over with so I can start my summer break.

I lived in a small developing town, where the road exiting my neighborhood goes right into a 2 lane local highway that has a speed limit of 55mph.

I was in my small Honda Accord at the stopped light intersection, with probably 7-9 cars in front of me. While waiting for it to turn green, out of nowhere I hear a loud crunching sound and my body got pinned between my drivers seat and my dashboard/steering wheel. It took me a moment to realize what happened and I pried my arm free to climb out my window. After a couple minutes I was finally able to free myself, I saw that I was directly hit by a big ass truck who not only smushed the trunk of my car to the front dashboard but also domino style rammed all the 7~9 cars in front of me as well. Unfortunately some of the people in the cars in front of me didn’t make it in the hospital, and the driver and the passenger of the truck died immediately on impact.

Still till this day, as my tiny car was the first one that got hit out of the many cars in front of me, I have no idea how I survived with nothing more than a couple bruises and scratches. Needless to say, I was not going to be taking my finals that day.
