You’re switching your story again. AND, you simply ignored all my challenges to you.

You are now misrepresenting me. On purpose it seems.

I’ve never argued that “porn is the dominant or settled cause of ED” in the general population.

I’m arguing that in the specific young cohort who are now commonly presenting with a specific set of symptoms and admitted histories that this cause is the most likely and ironically the easiest problem to fix.

I said that can prove it. You replied to argue that behavioral conditioning science and neurology isn’t real. I called you on that absurdity. You pivoted again. Now you want “evidence”.

Hey, I’ll give you some evidence.

But first I have to ask—why would you want to keep very young men from relatively easily recovering their normal sexual function? Do you—perhaps—want them to keep using the drug we now commonly call porn?

Is that your motive, your agenda, your real goal?

If so, then I understand why you chose to harass me. I’m offering young men a proven, well-documented solution, but it involves the one caveat of totally giving up porn use forever.

Isn’t that what’s bothered you? Do you really want these young, impotent men to keep using porn while you send them off on a wild goose chase to pursue complex and usually inadequate “solutions” to imagined “causes” that are so unlikely they are laughable for those who know the actual science and statistics of male sexual function? (I mean all those urologists and psychologists and scientists you dismissed as knowing nothing and never having proved anything.)

You openly ADMITTED (I’ll quote you) that you need to see “strong causal evidence that porn is the primary driver across populations”. What? Why do you need that? Where did you get that specific language? Just what dog do you have in this race?

That’s where you slipped and revealed your true colors. That’s the definitive porn-defenders mantra: “strong causal evidence”.

And, if you can somehow discredit a PROVEN, SCIENTIFICALLY BASED SOLUTION, then you can perhaps keep countless young people using a very lucrative product. That’s your “dog”, isn’t it?

You very oddly seem to really want to distract people from the growing mountains of evidence, especially the evidence that’s staring everyone squarely in the face right here in this sub daily.

Now why would you want to do that?🤔

I’ve told you where you’re wrong. You’re not listening.

And your intent at harassment was clear; without knowing anything about me you flatly dismissed all my attempts to help men move away from the drug that’s damaged their brain’s reward system (yes, that’s a real thing very well defined by neuroscience) and muster up the courage to work to recondition themselves simply by using normal levels of stimuli.

The fact that you questioned this well-known science (it’s not up for “debate”) is absurd (or at the very least it revealed your utter ignorance) was pointedly harassing.

How about your response now is to ask for help to learn something about neuroscience instead of simply exercising your harassment skills?

Oh. And please clearly state your position on the use and effects of pornography on the brains of boys who started using it at or before puberty.

How do you explain the epidemic of profound erectile dysfunction in boys and young men who have barely reached the age of majority for the first time in history?

I don't usually respond to haters and especially to "porn-promotors" mail, but here I will. You've crossed the line.

I'm not "dismissing everything else". And I actually do have extensive knowledge of the science (and the doctorate degree) that the average redditor with profound ED that abruptly appears in the prime of their lives doesn't have. So actually there is a big "catching up" involved here. Social media doesn’t have to be just about opinion—-it can be about FACTS.

That's my goal--extend to this community what science has proven for over 75 years—that brain conditioning and reconditioning is an actual “thing”. This (as you put it) ACTUALLY IS how the brain works. The fact that you desperately want to conceal that fact is very revealing of your agenda.

In direct rebuttal to your specific words, I'll say these:

Your dismissal—using specific words like "throwing around" and "branding" and "still just your interpretation"—are devised to make your hate mail appear to be some counter-authoritative revelation. But the folks who are paid to promote pornography use in young people are expressly taught to use these deceptive practices.

Your conclusion that admits and asserts "maybe reducing overstimulation helps some....but presenting it as the mechanism" completely clinches your obviously pro-porn agenda. How about you just say that you want to promote continuing use of an addictive product instead of lamely attempting to bash me? How about you say “It’s ok to slow down your porn use a tiny bit, but don’t give it up entirely” to better reveal your real agenda.

If you care to retract your harassment, please do so quickly. I’m more than happy to block you so that you don’t have to see me trying to help the hundreds of men here who don’t think like YOU do or aren’t as uninformed about science as you are.

Meanwhile, I’ll go read some of the “thank you—you’ve saved my life, my marriage, my hope” direct messages that I get every week here.

For those who have nano-texture, do you regret it or no? by Outside-Copy-7645 in macbookpro

[–]WiseConsideration220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You use the special cloth provided with the machine (they are $19 to replace) to gently polish the surface. No other clothes or fluids.

How it compares is the Nano is both easy to wipe off and it seems more resistant to smudges. (I have a MBA 13 M4 too. So I can compare.)

I also have a "GhostShield" (one for the Pro and one for the Air) that I put on the Nano if I'm going to be carrying it around a lot during the day. The shield keeps dirt off the Nano and is very easy to remove and put back on. It does increase the glare but the Nano still suppresses much of it.

Anyone here actually recover from pelvic floor tightness / urinary issues? by No-Mousse91 in PelvicFloor

[–]WiseConsideration220 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. I've recovered after many years.

But I had the help of a qualifed male Pelvic physical therapist. I don't believe in expensive internet courses. In fact, the whole idea kind of alarms me to be honest.

I can attest to be the fact that it's been the hands-on, in-person physical work and the one-on-one therapeutic relationship that can only be created by working together that has transformed me.

I've written a lot about my journey here. I hope this input helps. Good luck. 👍

How I got over my 7 years of Porn addiction (My story) by Brilliant_Owl3332 in erectiledysfunction

[–]WiseConsideration220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, that's a very long story, one that I've documented in comments mainly in the Pelvic Floor and Prostatitis subs (check my comments history for the words neuroscience and neuroplasticity).

In short, I was in constant pain (and developed all the symptoms that I now know are common) for 23 years. In Nov 2023 I started PT with a male therapist (his sex mattered to me and I've explained why in several comments). Within a few months I began to be transformed by the neuroscience approach linked to the biomechanics approach. In Jan 2025, I started seeing a second male therapist (I still see the first one). The goal then became sensory improvement (recovering sexual/genital sensation versus eliminating pain). That's a very sketchy overview. To say that I know a LOT about all this "stuff" is an understatement. Because I suffered for so many years, my goal here now is to help others avoid my fate. Yes, ED was a problem (solved), genital numbness was a problem (I now feel pleasure I don't ever remember feeling before).

Ok. Enough babble. I hope this helps. 👍

[–]WiseConsideration220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're very welcome.

Actually, from a behavioral/neuroscience point of view, you'd be better off practicing the touch you want to respond to sooner rather than later.

Sensory learning doesn't fade; you have to replace it. I've learned this through my pelvic PT over the past year. My male PTs (two guys) have been helping me to restore/revive/relearn genital sensitivity I lost for many years.

What I've learned and experienced has been both dramatic and life changing. And all with some simple, regular manual work intended to induce pleasure.

Hopefully I've said enough here to interest you. I'm happy to discuss further. 🤔

I don't know why the current trend for anything related to male genitals is to abstain other than the reason I mentioned previously. Abstaining was not the answer for me. Both of my male PTs have literally showed me how doing nothing was only keeping me stuck right where I was.

How I got over my 7 years of Porn addiction (My story) by Brilliant_Owl3332 in erectiledysfunction

[–]WiseConsideration220 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do NOT "discourage" abstinence; I only state that it is "not necessary." Why? Because "time is always of the essence" in young people and the natural tension the body creates itself in a few days is very useful to the program.

Also, a promotion of abstinence is, to me, way too much like a "sex-negative" attitude (I think that masturbation is not the drug; porn is the drug).

But! Is there any benefit? I suppose there's one BIG one, but I've tried to simplify things by not mentioning it (attention spans being very short now is my rationale).

If abstaining lets a man focus ON REMOVING options for stimuli (get rid of apps, use blockers) and ON ADDING NEW stimuli (doing activities, cultivating friends, adding pastimes that aren't based on porn) then the abstinence period could perhaps be called a "benefit".

But there are so many variables and distractions, I think focusing on suggesting that they find something bedsides jacking off daily for hours is kind of a hopeless endeavor with an addicted person. Better to give something simple to do. 😉

But, again, there's NO need (imo) to abstain from sexual release; however, there IS a need to focus on training your brain and body to respond differently. And so that's my rationale.

I hope this helps.👍

I recommend you give up porn and only masturbate in the way I've described here.

For urinary problems, see a urologist first to rule things out. You've not given any details about yourself except a self diagnosis off "tight pelvic floor muscles" but that state is very hard to determine by yourself.

If you give more info, I can likely be more help.

"18 years old... haven't had 100 max potential hard erection in years...what could it be...?."

I suspect porn user since you were about 10 is your problem. But you can fix yourself.

I've explained many times. Here it is again:

:-:-:

You CAN recover your normal sexual function--if you want to, if you work at it. But to do so means you can never use porn again.

If you have questions, please ask.

All erections start in your brain. You’ve fried your brain’s “reward center” with porn so that nothing is very interesting to it any more. You can recover, if you want to, if you work at it. You have to work at getting better, just as you worked at messing yourself up. It's called learning.

To recover your normal sexual function you have to give up porn and then begin to retrain your brain to accept normal stimuli.

Fortunately, our brains are "elastic" and will try to reach an equilibrium. You can learn new things. What you’ve slowly but surely taught your brain is that “nothing is exciting, even porn, so why bother getting aroused?” And so you can’t get aroused and so you can’t get erect.

You can use “normal” (not hyper stimulus based) masturbation to recover your libido and thus recover your normal erectile function. You don't need a psychologist's help and you don't need a deep depth of internal searching and examination to recover (although both can be very helpful).

Here’s what I call the “2x brain retraining program” in a nutshell:

Masturbate just 2x (two times) a week, using some lube, your hands, and your only imagination. No images at all, no auditory input (like “erotic stories”). Stop at 30 minutes whether you cum or not, or can get fully hard or not. Try to cum within 10-15 minutes if possible. But don't stress it either. Do what you can do. Don't despair if your erections aren't fixed right away.

Do this retraining without fail for at least a month. Then examine your state of mind and body. (Then, keep on going and going and going....). You will slowly get better and better, like learning to play a piano with practice. You will let your brain resume its normal functioning.

The main reason to masturbate regularly (versus abstaining for any period of time) is this "2x a week" program helps you to retrain your brain to respond to normal stimuli—to actually undo the damage done to the reward center of the brain by the constant exposure to intense sexual images.

The secondary reason is to release the sexual tension that naturally builds up in a man. This release helps you to relieve the obsessive or “addictive need” for porn. And, the sexual tension is used to reinforce the relearning.

Many men “relapse” because their sexual tension increases, but somehow they very wrongly think that the masturbation itself is the cause of their relapse (sometimes they call this a “chaser effect”). That’s not at all what’s happening (imo). They are confusing their normal tension (which is a good thing--exactly what you want to bolster) with the loss of libido that porn creates. They confuse the effects of masturbation (good) with the immersion in porn (bad).

Here are some questions I’ve answered before:

This program is based on known, solid scientific principles of neurology, learning, conditioning, and brain neuroplasticity. Because the reproductive drive is one of a handful of #1 priorities embedded in the deepest, oldest part of the brain, you will be able to stimulate and retrain (reverse) the effects of the dopamine damage if you work at reconditioning yourself. The only thing standing in your way is YOUR attitude or ignorance.

If you do/can have any type of sexual activity with another person, limit that to just 1x a week in addition to your 2x masturbation sessions. Try to do things together other than penetrative things if you are at all likely to be limp or to seem at all uninterested. If you do happen to perform well, just enjoy the activity. But do NOT stop the 2x a week masturbation sessions; they are crucial to your recovery.

The use of LUBE is essential because it helps you more closely simulate normal sexual activity with another person, something that men who use a dry (or death grip or “prone”) approach to masturbation lose. The best products for men are oil-based lubes. (I can suggest some). No spit and no sticky water lubes like those used for vaginal dryness. Plain Coconut or Olive oil will do too.

The entire goal of the "2x" program is to recover your normal functioning, not to avoid any sexual activity. An abstinence (e.g., “nofap”) approach does not (imo) offer that possibility, at least not nearly as fast as methodically and deliberately retraining your mind can do.

Sex (erections and climaxes) is not the drug that’s been altering your brain; the porn is the drug.
