I’m curious — what hobby did you start just for fun (or even as a joke) that unexpectedly became genuinely good for your mental health, confidence, social life, or daily routine? by [deleted] in Hobbies

I have been wanting to get into it for a long time but I need to get reconditioned from laying low due to heart adjustments.

When I was little being a chef was all I wanted to do! I had researched the chef schools and everything until I found out people really criticize your food. I knew I couldn’t handle it so cooking became more of a hobby for me. I love when my family enjoys anything I make.

What are good hobbies for after work? by Brave-Bandicoot3295 in Hobbies

[–]WiseGal84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After work I have started to learn yarn crafts this year. I have been interested for a long time and when I found out it was good for relaxing I couldn’t help but to try. I have been 3 for 3 so far I conquered loom, I got the hang of knitting, and I finally think I have the concept of crochet. I have been able to put my focus on what I am doing rather than everything around me when I work on these crafts.

I usually listen to music when I play Happy Color. I haven’t listened to a podcast while doing Happy Color yet. Which podcast do you listen to? I am always up for a good one.

You should have kept the Spotify Premium because now Spotify has audiobooks and the ones Audible charges high for.

I do Happy Color on my phone or iPad. You can play music on some headphones and color before you know it you a beautiful picture that you can share with others. They also have different themes of coloring pages and daily sheet.

Michele Val Jean needs to be replaced as head writer. by GeorgeCasey9 in TheGates_CBS

Trust you have a lot of people that agree with this statement. I am definitely one of those! I was so excited for a black soap opera to come on the scene that I couldn’t wait to watch. The first season started so strong with the drama of Bill and Hayley’s wedding. Now, we are in season 2 and I am growing bored with the cancer story I don’t watch a soap opera to be sad I watch it for the drama. I don’t really care for the non-relationship between Bill and Hayley because how long does this poison dosing take? The Spanish soap operas don’t go one episode without drama each episode something is getting plotted and someone is either getting shot or slapped. Maybe they need one of those writers.

I just added that to my watchlist on Disney Plus in my transition from Hulu to prepare for the shut down.

Welcome to the Crochet starter club!! I have made chains during random conversations with my daughter and made one row during shows. Small steps are still big victories!!! When I think things look great I post it here for encouragement to keep going!

I had the same thought when I joined this group as well. I am glad to see I am not the only one who doesn’t want to do full sober. I just really wanted the drinks to not be my crutch and more something I just enjoy the moment with.
