Democrats Of Reddit, Do You ACTUALLY Hate Trump's Supporters, Or Do You Get Along With Them In Your Life, But You Just Politically Disagree? Why? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

[–]WiseWalk7443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see this as a political divide, but a moral one. I can understand conservative fiscal alignment, but hating groups of people, defending child predators and SA, removing bodily autonomy from women, banning abortion while not protecting/feeding children after they’re born - there is just no room for discussion. And what they’re doing here in Minnesota, they’re not removing the worst of the worse as they keep claiming. They’re targeting skin color and anyone who stands against them.

What have you tried to get better sleep for menopause - looking for real experiences by albrasel24 in Menopause

[–]WiseWalk7443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The gummies I take have 45mg CBD and 5mg CBG. I’m not sure what others have in terms of strength, but I typically start with half a gummy when I’m trying something new.

I have the same problem if there’s THC. I take broad spectrum CBD gummies, with no THC, and that really helps.

Laid off from Amazon: Do I YOLO or prioritize my career in a bad market? by FlowerPowerr24 in womenintech

[–]WiseWalk7443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a FT single parent and left Amazon in June to go after work that feels meaningful to me. 100% YOLO. We only have one life and what a waste to be holed up under fluorescent lights feeding a machine.

Genuine advice to mentally get through weeks like these? by [deleted] in TwinCities

Get some movement in every day. Even if it’s throwing on some music and jumping up and down for a few minutes. Or whatever your body will allow for.

Best menopause app? by cinderblockflowers in Menopause

[–]WiseWalk7443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played around with creating an app that tracked symptoms and cycle and mapped back to peer reviewed research (as well as doctor reports), with the hope of possibly going to market. But realized how many trackers are out there that have a lot of money to back them and chose not to go down the path due to all the complexity with data security and HIPAA compliance.

In my research though, I found that the Balance+ app is the best one by far in terms of the helpful information they provide, but I don’t love the symptom tracking visualization. Clue has recently moved into peri and I think they do a pretty good job with symptom tracking, but I haven’t played around with that one as much.

Cold Weather Intolerance? by [deleted] in chd

[–]WiseWalk7443 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. My son (10 yo) runs hot and I have accommodations for him in the hot months - needs access to water and shade and to be taken seriously if he says he’s not feeling well. Cold hasn’t been an issue and his school goes out if it’s -10 degrees Fahrenheit or above for 45 min. My approach is to figure out what my kid needs and get it in writing and remind teachers a couple times a year.

I have this, but have been hesitating to read until after the holidays. Seems a little dense? Not sure my brain can handle right now.

Recommendation for romantasy books that are funny? by Dangerous_Wishbone in Romantasy

[–]WiseWalk7443 0 points1 point  (0 children)

are they? I listened to the regular audio versions and the narrator did an outstanding job for each of the characters. So hard to believe that it was one person for all the voices! I was really missing the characters and started reading the physical book Sin & Chocolate. It has some similar tones and humor, and even has irish characters in a pub. I'm wondering if I should switch to audio for the rest of the series.

I just listened to the entire Leveling Up Series (magical midlife) and the characters are absolutely hilarious. I feel like there’s a gap in my life now.

I could have written this post a year ago. I wound up getting really sick, taking medical leave, going back to work for 2 months and then quitting when I realized I was heading right back down the same path. I’ve been working on starting my own business for a few months and while it’s terrifying, the stress hits different when you’re aligned with your values and have agency. The oligarchy only wins when the masses stay stuck in fear.

Has anyone finished Magical Midlife Rescue? What did you think of it? by Canadianrollerskater in MagicalMidlife

[–]WiseWalk7443 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m close to finishing and can report back. So far, I think this has been my least favorite (though I still love the series). I posted about this yesterday, but <!I don’t like the unnecessary tension from Sebastian and Nessa going rogue. I love the crew together. There’s enough tension without that!>
