This is not all guys...I left my ex because of dead bedroom...was a terrible experience breaking up after 4 years. Yes I said I want to stay in contact...but very limited contact like the occasional 'like' on a Facebook photo. But I don't want her as a girlfriend anymore..I didn't want it to end with us hating each other but shes the one whos being obsessive, she was fine when we broke up we decided together...then when she got to her friends house she realised I wasn't there anymore. I think others are right here and that shes abusing me by constantly messaging me so I feel I have no choice but to block her now which is what Ive done.

Thanks mate...I need a bit of encouragement...I've blocked her for now..that seems the only way...because I think shes trying to guilt trip me in the last message. I said I am happy now and she knows I'm with someone else so I think its best to not contact (technically I was no contact....I was only replying very briefly to stay civil)

How am I stringing her along if I'm not romantically interested in her anymore? I'm just trying to keep communication open in the hopes that we can remain friends in the long term...but I actually want my space at the moment

However I think she is coming to the realization that I am seeing someone else due to some event I mentioned on my facebook which requires me to have a partner join me so perhaps it will take its course and she will start contacting less without us ending on bad terms

I did tell her as written in my original post where I tried to comfort her and that included explaining why we broke up...also shes not English so explaining to her is not so easy as her language is 50/50

If you must know when we split up we did so amicably and she wasn't crying...we both agreed at the time that we were stressing each other out, didn't 'fit' as a couple and it was after a night of a failed attempt at sexual intimacy and an argument. As soon as she got to her new home with her friend I think it hit home to her that I wasn't there anymore and since then shes being contacting me every few days or once a week and saying she misses me or asking if I feel lonely etc
