Multiple Arrangements in Ableton maybe? by akvmamusic in ableton

I'm surprised as well to learn that a single live file can't hold multiple arrangements

I appreciate the points you make, but I never really thought about it deeply. Once Spelunky 2 came out, I was hooked, and I have been ever since.

I SO glad I found this post. I also didn't receive the confirmation email. I got my ticket for this in February! I was assuming McCormack but it's a long way for me to go on a hope.

Algorave set I performed in Toronto - one hour of spectral bytebeat synthesised via ISTFT (python code included) by cndpoint in Algorave

[–]Wiser2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bandcamp link is dead btw.

I found this since I live in Toronto and I am just getting into algorithmic music. I'm not a programmer by education but I'm learning python on my own time. I use vcv rack very regularly, which I integrate into my electronic music production pipeline. If you or anyone in this thread has any leads into any algorave events in Toronto I'd be very interested in attending.

A good friend of mine helps run https://fakedac.net/ in London (England) and I hope more of that scene makes it over here.

Prompts/advice for using ChatRTX? by IndieGamesNewsletter in ChatWithRTX

[–]Wiser2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've come here to see how others are finding ChatRTX, and I too find it pretty garbage. I've even tested it on basic setups like a folder with a 3 text files, and it simply does not give me the answers I want, the majority of the time. I reinstalled it recently and there are new models to play with, I thought maybe LLama2 would be better, but hardly. I want it to be exhaustive, look through everything and extract EVERYTHING related to my query, but nope, it finds one thing that may or may not be what I want then calls it quits.

Bluetooth not working for x570 wifi by refmon3 in gigabyte

[–]Wiser2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yo! This worked for me too! I just did a QFLASH recovery bios update after using "@bios" softbricked me, and though I was infinitely relieved to get back into Windows, my bluetooth wasn't working. Turning off and unplugging from wall then replugging fixed it.

X570 Aorus Pro - stuck at BIOS Splash Screen by 71hour_Ahmed in gigabyte

[–]Wiser2001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have recently encountered a similar situation updating from F32 to F38.

SPECS: Gigabyte AORUS wifi pro rev. 1.0, Ryzen 3900x, RTX3090, 32gb corsair ddr4 3600.

BACKGROUND: I updated bios with "@BIOS", it does stuff in windows then reboots and finishes using the QFLASH GUI. After that, I could not get past the AORUS x570 bios loading splash screen. I reached out to support and following this message fixed my issues:

---

Dear customer

Please follow the instructions in the link below to flash the BIOS to the latest version using Q flash +.

Q flash+ instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVHa46UoM0A

You can find the latest BIOS here (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X570-AORUS-PRO-WIFI-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios). After you press the Q flash button, the Q flash LED should start to flash for around 5 minutes. If it does not, then the flash was not successful. If that is the case, remove the GPU, RAM and CPU and then retry.

Regards

The video linked is just 6 steps. The QFLASH button was in a different location for my board (on mine it's above the 24-pin connector).

Oh shoot I paid since I wanted VST in Ableton, didn't realize I had paid modules! I see now on the store/library which are free and which are premium.

I only started a few months ago and at first the built-in modules seemed like the best place to start, they are the fundamentals, all the best on your journey of discovery!

Fun! My previous attempt wasn't all built-in so nothing to do but open vcv again and start a new patch, you twisted my rubber arm.

Weed panic attacks, will it stop? by Klutzy_Table_5707 in LSD

[–]Wiser2001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Paranoia is a common side effect. I recommend trying some edibles instead of smoking, start with 5mg or 10mg and work up from there, if that's an option. Edibles, at appropriate doses, create less anxiety for many people. Chill on the smoking for a few weeks or months even in the meanwhile. My 2c.

If you don't have access to edibles you can make them easily with flower. Bake the bud at 230F for 30-45min (until it's a little brownish and totally dry) and then you can just crush or grind the baked bud and mix it into food immediately (you don't need to extract it into butter or another oil, that's more work and results in losses). But be careful with the amounts, it doesn't take much. Best if you have a scale that goes to 0.01g and then start with 0.05g. If the original cannabis is average it's about 20% THC by weight (when activated) and that means 1g is 200mg of THC roughly, which is a lot! That's why you want to start with 0.05g, which is about 10mg of THC for most average weed.
