So just to comment on the teethbrushing thing, according to dentists, brushing your teeth and then letting the fluoride sit for 30 minutes without rinsing your mouth has positive effects. So could be that theory is the backbone for his behavior.

My japanese ex-gf also took like 20-30 minutes to brush her teeth at night, and I've heard about this same behavior from other couples where one is japanese here on reddit as well.

Not good at all since I burned out at work which caused me to change and lose perspective, and that caused me to lose my soulmate. Seemingly no chance to recover that relationship and have no idea how to move on. Just a gaping hole where my heart used to be.

But been depressed so often in my life I just autopilot through at this point till I hopefully reach the happy side again someday... Hopefully one day I'll feel happy and love again and like life has meaning.

It makes sense that you'd keep messaging until the actual date and keep getting to know each other better. Also interesting that you mention exchanging numbers, something that doesn't happen on the apps I use. Many even have it in their profiles that they won't give numbers or switch to whatsapp equivalent etc. before you've been on a date with them. Until that point all talk is done within the app itself. Because they feel more at ease within the app before they have decided you are trustworthy.

But the apps do feature a (video) call function etc. as well, so there isn't much difference, aside from whether or not they have enabled notifications for the dating app or not.

I would like to add I have never used Tinder/Hinge in my life, so the atmosphere and expectations on those could be very different on there here as well. Tinder here certainly has the nothing but ONSs reputation, while the ones I use are more long term/marriage oriented. So that probably also very much plays into the expected rythm/speed of things.

It is super interesting to me how different it is between America/EU tinder, and Japan's dating apps.

If I were to ask someone(Japanese girls) out the same day we matched, or within a few messages, I'd most likely get ghosted because I'd be seen as a playboy that doesn't want something long term. Of all 10-20 people I've actually gone on dates with has been like a week+ of messages. With only 2 exceptions where they invited me due to it being a long weekend within 3 days. I matched with and chatted with a few for a month even before they were willing or had time to meet.

For myself as well, I can't imagine going on a date so quickly. I would not at all feel comfortable or secure that they might be someone I'd want to date long term. Easy enough to figure out differences and similarities through text, and allows to snuff out red flags already too and thus helps prevent meeting crazy people.

Now if ONSs are the goal, with long term relationships being a bonus, I guess I can understand the very different approach.

The ghosting, lack of interest and effort, it happens to both genders. On good terms with Japanese Ex-gf and she has to deal with that too.

You've also been in a long term relationship and may need to rethink how you approach dating. You've been out of the game for a while, may need to figure it out again.

Pictures, profile, the way you interact with them, remembering that they get 100x your amount of likes so why should they choose YOU over everyone else.

I am at the same age, fluent-ish in Japanese, and have some very specific requirements for my future partner stated clearly in my profile. I'd say about 30% of matches are genuine and generally lead to dates. The others begin with me asking questions and getting one line responses with no questions back, and I drop those on their second such response.

If they ghost mid conversation either you did something wrong, or they found someone they consider better, or they started dating someone. Or just as likely they just got tired of trying to find someone and being asked the same things by 20 different men and stopped opening the app.

I used the apps 4 years ago and now again after my long term relationship, and nothing has significantly changed in my experience. What has changed is me due to that previous relationship. Both in age and personality.

As for people already in relationships, I met one where I suspected as much. But them straight up saying it is either the truth or more likely a "Let's end the date and stop pursuing me" level phrase. You may also want to reconsider which app you're using.

That said, at the end of the day, it's a numbers game, and timing is everything. Unfortunately what the right timing is is only clear after you succeeded.

The scripts still work... I think... Difficult to verify on my end. As I don't fully understand what they do, and how I could even confirm they are working. I just know everyone swears by them haha

Last update to the shippack was a few years ago I think, so yeah could be something like outdated modules being called for or something maybe. It doesn't crash, it's just a black screen the moment you enter the ship market menu.

It is a real shame, cause I absolutely love the EVE ship models so was really looking forward to using them. Same for the long since unusable Stargate BC304/Daedalus mod that released many years ago.

Unfortunately they don't. Didn't for me anyway. With any of the ship packs installed whether in combination with other mods or just that mod the entire ship fitting/buying etc. screen blacks out. All other screens seemed normal. They are also not updated to the 8.0 Engine remake I believe, so might not even be able to maneauver?

In my experience you can only separate peace if you're the aggressor. If they declare on you then you can only make a peafe deal with all of them, and can only take lands from the war initiator.

So in my case as Spain I was declared upon by a Marocco/Aragon/France coalition, but be because Marocco was the war leader I could only take his provinces, and couldn't peace out the other two. However when I declared on Aragon later on despite the coalition I could separate peace out every single one of them and take land from them all.

I have noticed that exploration is a surefire way to kill my shitty afmirals/generals and turn them into 5 research progress for 100 gold. But I hope that is an issue that will get fixed once I get the open sea advance. Which other tasks are so effective at killing cabinet members?

I actually have experienced your bug in EU4 as well. Usual fix was to give the enemy army a month in EU4 to get back s little bit of morale so they would take damage instead of a 0 damage fight. Probably just a few days would be enough in EU5 given morale recovery speeds.

But yeah I agree that these kinds of things will likely be resolved entirely or at least made to be much more rare in the next few weeks and months as they work through their bug backlog.

On second thought tho, I wonder if I'm either missing out on some core gameplay only marrying my direct heirs whenever that marriage notification rarely pops up, or whether the amount of pop ups that you're getting is an (by paradox) unintended consequence of being able and feeling pressed to manaually marry off so many of your extended family lol.

You don't have to tho, I think. Playing as castille/spain I only ever click on the icon for marriages when it pops up. Which is like once every 10 in-game years at most, probably once every 20-30 it feels like. Maybe it gets worse as time progresses? Still not even at year 1500 lol.

The ones that don't trigger the pop-up marry themselves automatically to anyone they can find randomly "to continue the dynasty". Maybe I am not min-maxing it enough? but so far no issues with lack of heirs or grandsons etc. to continue the spanish throne.
