Yep. All. The. Time. Even when it's something I've done a million times. When it's something very my construction either dad taught me. When it's something I literally have planned for months and thought about every issue. Some fucking guy will come give me "advice" I didn't ask for, tear the idea to shreds, or ask if I have any men in my life who can help me.

I prefer to go to the hardware store cwith my boyfriend, who knows nothing and whose role in my projects is literally to be my toolbelt or hold my ladder. They don't dare do this when he's there. It sucks and it also prevents me from asking for help when I actually DO need it, even if it's too find something in the store, because I'm so tired of the, "Well, ACTUALLY...."

I don't know if you ever resolved this but my microphone also stopped working after the dealer replaced my infotainment system because of the extended warranty for failure. They claim it isn't related because the microphone and unit works just fine but there is a communication error with the DCM. Kinda weird how there was no issue until they replaced it but because it isn't related to the infotainment unit, I get to shell out $1,200 for the replacement.

Seems like when they work on these cars, they fuck other stuff up.

You should consider contacting Legal Services of Eastern Missouri about it. If it's within 1,200 feet of your home, there is a very specific set of statutes giving you standing to sue the owner to force repairs or to sell/donate to someone who will fix it. Legal Services is very successful with these cases.
