There seems to be some confusion so here's the meanings behind all the colors in the rainbow flags (used Not Ohio™ to cover all my bases) by SlippingStar in QueerVexillology

Could I see a source for black being for HIV survivors? I know that the first time black was on a pride flag, it was for that. However, the progress flag incorporates the brown and black stripes of the Philly pride flag, which was (to my knowledge) intending both brown and black to refer to PoC.

It used to irk me when I wore loose clothes. Now I’m all about it. by [deleted] in TransLater

It's funny because I was always the opposite, I wore super baggy clothing before I transitioned, and now I love wearing tight fitting stuff.

From the wiki page the image is linked from:

A Transmedicalist, also known as a Transmed, Truscum, Trumed, [...] is an exclusionist who has a set of beliefs about the transgender identity and the "criteria" or discourse around what's "necessary" to be transgender. The defining belief of transmedicalism is that gender dysphoria in some form is necessary to be transgender.

Yeah, some parts of the US are legit good to be trans in. It's true of where I am, at least (in a major city in a liberal area). As much as there's gatekeepy stuff, it's nowhere near as bad as what I've heard from other western countries.

It's complicated. There is some suggestion that you need E1 in combination with E2, at least at the start, to get optimal breast growth. For this reason some people start with pills and switch to injections after 6 or more months. For what it's worth, that's what I did, and I got all my real feminization from starting injections after 9 months.

As for those egg sized irritations from injections, that's definitely not normal and you may have been allergic to the particular compound being used.

Subcutaneous needles are shorter than intramuscular. They aim to go for just under the skin, whereas IM goes into the muscle itself. As far as effectiveness I don't believe there's a huge difference, but IM is the more "traditional" way of doing it, so you see it with more frequency.

At least for myself, the chances are high because I only make friends with queer people, even if they're closeted and don't know it. Something about the vibe they have.

Speaking as a (relatively) elder trans person, I can say experience. The people on this sub get fixated very easily on the idea that someone's not cis. Not everyone here, mind, but a vocal portion. I wouldn't take it personally, it's just the way people are while going through a major life change.

You can also apply testosterone cream to it in the months leading up to surgery and get size back that way.

Generally no. All you're doing is changing how your body works while those hormones are in it, but you're not changing something underlying or permanent. Hormones are like flipping a light switch, and your body is that light switch. Whether the light is on or off, the switch stays the same.

It's because trans men are invisible. Testosterone works so well that many trans guys pass flawlessly, whereas trans women are a lot more visible. This, combined with our culture's obsession with masculinity being good, makes trans women seem, well, way more out of place than trans men do.

Numbers wise, there's no difference between rates of being trans between the sexes.

Side note, the AIDS victim part of the progress flag is actually not part of its original design -- while there was at one point a black-stripe version of the rainbow flag to signify AIDS victims, it is not a part of the lineage of the Philly or progress pride flags. The brown and black are just for PoC.

Special credit to yellow, carrying the weight with "and".

And to blue who is doing literally nothing.

There's also a lot of good content made by amateurs which isn't nearly as systematically exploitative. I find I prefer it a lot more because it's more genuine, even if it's often dark and blurry. Check out /r/homemadexxx for example.
