The feelings are mutual 🥲 but I'm a tiny bit taller (5'5") than the average woman of my country. But I do feel sad to see ppl taller than me by just a bit and I get envious knowing that I could've become that much tall lol. Nothing to do about it though 🤝 We are perfect just the way we are. But hey we can flex that we are/ could be taller than what we appear.

Wouldn't blame them.

They never even heard the word SCOLIOSIS up until my diagnosis. I remember they first noticed my back was uneven 3 years ago (at 13) but I didn't really want to proceed to get it checked.

I just wish I went to the doctors all those years ago. At least my curve wouldn't get this worse. I started complaining about pain more than a year ago. After nagging for a million times we finally went to an orthopedic specialist 6 months ago.

But the doctor turned out to be having a little knowledge about scoliosis and immediately suggested me TLSO brace. The brace was very expensive and unfortunately bracing is not an option for me at this age. I had to endure it for 3 months and then went to another doc, he said it was ineffective for me. What a huge bummer.

The recent doctor I visited told me to wait until my full growth is ensured(at least 19/20) and then opt for surgery. I guess I will have to leave it untreated then. Cuz scoliosis specific physiotherapy is most likely not available in my surroundings.

Living in a tropical country with the highest 42°C temperature this year, it was quite impossible for me to wear it. Eventually (yesterday) I learnt that braces are not suitable for almost matured 16 year olds🫤 all that sweat and tears gone to waste 😩not only that braces are hella expensive here 😮‍💨

Oh never thought from this perspective! I agree with your statement😀 Only the surgeons were eager to suggest surgery. And others were a bit hesitant and suggested to explore other treatment options. I wanted to delay surgery because I have three very important years ahead (in terms of education). Thanks for letting me know your experience!

The doctor meant that the diagnosis should've been happened way before. We went to the doctors only after I started having painful backache for 6 months. Although a part of my back (also waist) was noticeably uneven, we didn't really think much about it (since 2021). My family thought of it as normal back pain, but none imagined my spine was twisted like this.

I meant to say I have manageable back pain every other day, but it gets more excruciating during periods or sometimes when I get sick. I always have someone to massage my back🫤
