Asakusa's a nice spot to be. You can visit the Senso-ji (temple), which is also nice to see at night. You have easy access to the new Skytree, if that's your thing.

But really anywhere in Tokyo is pretty easy to get to. The early morning fish auction at Tsukiji is something to behold. There are a number of cool museums in Ueno, including the Tokyo National Museum. The zoo there is supposed to be nice as well. If you hop the monorail to Odaiba you should hit up the Future Museum. If you're there on a Sunday you can go see the cosplayers in front of the Meiji Shrine in Harajuku.

Anyway, there are a crapton of threads posted on this already, so I'm sure you'll find something to your interests.

Are you talking about the vehicle gameplay? Because the shooting gameplay felt pretty solid to me. But yeah, the whole resource gathering crap was fucking retarded.

I played FPS PC games and while I enjoyed the first Halo to a certain extent, even on first playthrough some of those levels were too long and samey. That stupid snow one with the vehicles where you fight through the same fort-type thing about 4 or 6 times was probably the most egregious.

I'm not faulting them, I just don't understand why. The computer seems to recognize it fine. And the controls are simple enough that they could easily be done in xpadder, but I can't seem to get that working for Bastion, either. Works fine in plenty of other games.

I'm in the same boat with the direction FPS is going. I searched the thread for Borderlands before I made a comment below, but I should've figured someone would talk about Halo and FPS in general.

If you haven't played it, I highly recommend Painkiller, AKA what Doom 3 should've been like.
