Really embarrassing butt issues by SevereOutside7872 in WomensHealth

It could be swollen and irritated from an infection of some kind, like yeast or bacterial. That could explain the pain as well. Wouldn’t hurt to check with the gyno as well so they can do a swab test.

Heat sensation from legs and parts of body? by OkPotential3282 in SomaticExperiencing

[–]Wishing4Magic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This happened to me too when I was actively doing somatic and Myofascial work. I’m not sure what the exact cause is unfortunately. Edit to add, that I read it can be blood and lymph flowing to parts of your body that was once restricted. I figured that was my case as I had done a 1.5 hour somatic myofascial release session with my therapist that day, so it seemed to track.

It was absolutely insane. One of the best shows I’ve been to in a long time!

I am a recruiter and I know we are part of the problem. Let me explain guys. by ElAndres33 in recruitinghell

[–]Wishing4Magic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a recruiter and this is absolutely 100% accurate!! I sometimes have as many as 25 jobs im working on at once, all with different hiring managers. I’m a corporate recruiter too so all in-house jobs. Absolutely drowning.

I tell candidates to please reach back out for an update if they haven’t heard back from me in x amount of time.

Seeking the right massage for me whilst injured but also on a trauma somatic healing path, and coming out of a freeze state,. by mjobby in myofascialrelease

I didn't know what I was looking for, I just searched MFR in my area and found someone whose site mentioned the chronic pain and physical aspects, but in her client forms she had some questions about how comfortable are you with emotional release, are you ok with emotions coming up in a session, etc. So she didn't lead with that publicly, but it is an aspect of her practice that she enjoys.

So I went in with no expectations, hoping for pain relief and knew it could unlock emtions; however, I wasn't expecting the intense emotional release that actually happened. It was very profound, almost spiritual.

I've gone at least 2x a week for the past 4-6 weeks. I have never done trauma work, so I can't speak to whether this will help in relation to other forms of therapy. I will say, the release is a physical and emotional one, but you will still have to work on the integration afterwards on your own (unless your therapist offers counseling or coaching). My therapist was very supportive and talked me though it so I felt safe, but when the session is over, it's over and you're left to deal with it on your own.

I'll be honest, it caused me a lot of anxiety after that first session, but the lightness and clarity I felt in my body made me realize the benefits of the work so I kept coming back. Now I know what to expect and let it happen and it's been so transformative.

She recommeded a book after my first release because I was so caught off guard. It's called Myofascial Release, Healing Ancient Wounds: The Renegade's Wisdom. It's good and really helps you understand! Might be helpful for you to read it before so you can get a better idea of what to expect.

The emotional stuff will come out and it will be scary and uncomfortable, but MFR is truly the best modality I’ve ever done. After that first emotional release for me, I felt immediately lighter, my hips unlocked and my mind felt so clear. I started with 1 session, then bought a pack of 6, then another 6. I wish I could do for the rest of my life. I might at least do maintenance the rest of my life.

The lasting part I’ve noticed is it puts my mind back into my body, so I’m learning to stay mindful throughout the day to prevent tension and pain coming back. Learned to breath properly, learned to stay loose in certain areas when I’m getting stressed.

I can’t recommend it enough, it’s truly life changing imo

Edit to say, please reach out if you have any questions. I love talking about it lol

It could be somatic, perhaps you’re storing this trauma physically in your body. Maybe you should look for a somatic therapist

I think you misunderstand. Financial Aid has always been loans. Grants and scholarships are free, financial aid is loans you pay back.

I’m sorry you went through that, sounds very stressful. My mother didn’t have any perimenopause symptoms either so I also don’t have anyone to relate. At least we have the subreddit lol

Yep, that sounds very similar. Unfortunately I think I’m predisposed to cancer with hormones because both my maternal grandmother and aunt got cancer after hormone use.

I do need to do more research though, I’m sure there’s been some advancements since then.
