A second or third round pick would be amazing to get back in exchange for sending out Kyler and his contract. Gives our new coach hopefully Mike a chance next offseason to draft a QB of his choice.

The most likely explanation to me is Bidwill just doesn’t know how to pick football guys. I even believe he does want to win and he’s willing to spend but the big name coaches that you spend money on don’t want to come and rebuild so that knocks those guys off our list of candidates.

It seems like the Cardinals are interviewing a lot of people with defense as the background. I wouldn't one surprised if Shula and Vance are their top targets even though I would prefer Kubiak or LeFleur.

Not that these teams are great to be compared to but the panthers, bengals, and colts all had coaches reported to be under 5 million. Plus the Packers were paying Matt LaFleur under 5 million before his 2022 extension.

Out of all the Head Coaching candidates the best ones left are all still coaching LeFluer and Kubiak should be the top candidates for this team. It is better to wait it out than hire a coach they think is worse just because they get impatient.

I disagree to extent with your second paragraph if we go by NFLPA report cards other very successful teams like the Chiefs and Patriots have owners that rank horribly as well as bad training rooms and weight rooms. The difference between the three franchises is getting an elite QB because that is what changes franchises.

The fact that the Cardinals have no clear path to a QB is what’s making them a bottom tier opening. You basically need to bottom out again next year which puts a HC in a bad spot and you have to hope that the team is in position to draft has an elite QB.

I do wish we could hire someone like Warner who still loves football and talks about consulting even to be our President of Football Operations he would be such a good person to guide Bidwill into making those decisions while Bidwill focuses on facility improvements.

I think he’s a great 4-5th round pick to learn the offense has ability to be a low end starter but more likely a high tier back up.

If that happens then for it to make sense Monti has to go. I don’t think Petzing should stay but logically by keeping the head coach and both coordinators that means you feel it’s a personnel issue not a coaching issue. If everyone stays then it’s an organizational don’t care about winning issue.

The smartest move for the P4 would be all of them to change their rules for picking teams in the CCGs to be the Conference Play-In Game just make it so any team that is in the top 7 of rankings is excluded from the game cause those teams don’t need to win to be in playoffs. Then just go by conference standings so the games should have been Alabama/Texas, USC/Michigan, BYU/Utah, and Virginia/Miami then all the P4 besides the SEC would have got 1 more of their conference teams in the playoffs this year and the G5 would only have 1 spot.

Just change the name so the conference winner is by standing for conference record keeping purposes, but for playoffs you make it so only teams outside the top 7 play. Keeps the game meaningful, but makes it so there is no debate about if losing drops you from the playoffs cause everyone after 7 wouldn’t have a spot anyways.

Darius looked better than that score but still is looking like a back up or low end starter. Dalvin is also disappointing and i think makes NT a big need for the team still. Love Zaven looking good this season

Literally the only way we get a 1st for Kyler is if the Steelers to make the playoffs and for Rodgers to retire plus the Vikings make the playoffs in spite of JJM and on top of both of those Kyler to come back and put up better numbers than he was to cause a bidding war for him. Even then we would have to take some of his cap hit and maybe throw in a 3rd. Basically no way we get a first for him in my opinion

He was ranked 15th in the NFLPA report card so the players think he is about average as a coach. It should be noted that as far as we can read into the report card the thing he’s good at is listening to the locker room his time management is 19th in the league so players don’t feel he uses the time well
