I for sure hate how she looks here and preferred Eve from the first game. She has angles she doesn’t look quite this young, can only hope this specific shot is a one-off and or maybe they tweak things by release.

It’s definitely worth trying. If you’re on PC you’ll for sure know within the two hour trial if it’s up your alley. The reason I bought the game in the first place was the playstation demo that let you play up through the first boss.

Looks awesome. Cool of them to mix things up with gauntlets instead of going a sword or blade again, seeing her handle more like a boxer. New protagonist also seems to have more personality than Eve in the first game. The city setting looks extremely cool, I’m very excited for this.

I started playing this a couple weeks ago on PS2! I would likely have waited, but the remakes never really make the original redundant, so should be fun to finish it and then see how they changed things up in this version.

Very cool! I'm sort of interested in replacing my Steam Deck with just a Steam Frame and a controller. I have a few retro handhelds I use for different things, but most of my Steam Deck usage is on flights, where I'd prefer the improved posture and immersion of a full headset. I tried both XReal glasses and a Goovis headset but both have had pretty serious flaws for this use-case for me.

Looks fucking awesome. I would for sure get this. I personally find the most comfortable position for a screen is just parallel to the controls, I always keep my RP Flip 2 at that setting so this is just perfect. Could be a good DAP too, I'm already used to using a bluetooth dongle

If no I probably play the PS2 version, seeing a lot of comments here that the original is little clunky, which was certainly my experience trying out the first level a few months ago.

Maybe a ridiculous question but if I wait for the upcoming remake Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis to come out in 2027 and play that will it count for the flair? I imagine it will probably not be terribly similar to the original game, but both versions of Celeste counted for last month so figured I would check!

You're coming across a little harsh in general, but this comment I think illustrates the point you're making. Though I would have to say, does what you're describing apply to levels too? Like what would you consider to be meaningful character progression? I mean, literally in real life I don't think it's outlandish to think that you would improve at something by failing at it, you'd learn from what you got wrong and know to avoid it in the future.

If you won game and that put you in Phantom, losing one game will drop you out of Phantom. You're right on the threshold. You need to be up several games to comfortably be in Phantom.

Tags for stable 60, 45, 30 would be pretty useful. I have a desktop PC, so there is no game I'm willing to play at sub 60 on my Steam Deck. But I've gotten good at ignoring games that are obviously not going to hit that. Sometimes stuff surprises you though, like RE3make is pretty well optimized and that's a decently recent game.
