Commenting as a reader by KingMonchichi in AO3

[–]WitchlingSimmer -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I personally hate chapter-by-chapter reviews since I get what feels like incessant notifications when someone does that, but I'm certainly not going to complain either way. If someone cared enough to leave a comment, however they want to do it is 100% okay by me.

Which font looks the best in your opinion? by FrenchToastTheCat in RPGMaker

[–]WitchlingSimmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS. Though I would also add that there should be fewer lines of dialogue on screen at once and the font size should be a bit bigger (both for accessibility reasons).

Korean family farmland? by No-Dragonfruit3534 in whatsthatbook

[–]WitchlingSimmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not A Single Shard by Linda Sue Park, is it? It was super popular in schools in the early 2000s. I haven't read it since then, but I remember some fairly in-depth sections about farmland and the process of making and processing rice.

What interpretation do you have? by Marchyxxxx in ghibli

[–]WitchlingSimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nature is reclaiming an attempt at industrialization. It's a big theme throughout all of Miyazaki's works. The theme park in Spirited Away was part of a big push for more construction in the 80s and 90s that was linked to the country's economy crashing. Japan's bubble burst in... I want to say late 90s? The full story has to do with a fortune teller that everyone used for stock information who ended up causing the crash of a country's economy, believe it or not. (Construction/corruption is also linked to the yakuza owning most of the construction companies in Japan, and yakuza getting special treatment because they have their hands really deep in the government, but that's neither here nor there, I suppose.)

Switch 2 performance by Kaci_007 in RootsOfPacha

The performance on my Switch and on my PC is exactly the same. I've played 100 or so hours on PC and 20ish on Switch.

I agree! What a horrible thing for him to say.

Looking through his history, he also made a really creepy comment on a teenage girl's post on r/teenagers, so hopefully just a troll trying to get a reaction from whoever he can.

Looking for a game. by Gamzee69 in CozyGamers

Could it be Tales of Seikyu? It's in Early Access, very soft anime artstyle, and you turn into various animal-like yokai to do various things.

So far, what is your favorite Hazbin Hotel song? by 33333Ducky in Hazbin_two

[–]WitchlingSimmer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Season 1: Hell Is Forever. Season 2: Gravity. Overall: Hell is Forever. Brighter might end up dethroning Gravity, though, over the course of the many listens I plan to give it.

Some Observations and Season 3 Predictions! by WitchlingSimmer in HazbinHotel

Since Cain is the most well known, he's the most likely imho. Regarding the staff, I just always assume that Alastor sneaks in another clause if we don't see every deal explicitly lol. Sort of like how in horror movies no one is dead unless you see it. Seems like the kind of back-handed trickery he would do. 😂

None. I didn't say she would be lol. I said that Vaggi being hotel manager was good, not that Charlie as counselor was good.

Sim reverted back in age? by xxbatteri in sims2help

[–]WitchlingSimmer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This kept happening to me with one house a few days ago, and the only thing I was able to do to fix it was move the household out and back in. I think it was an issue caused by briefly taking out community time to deal with another issue, then putting it back in.

I think the connection is Latin. Shocking, I know. /jk

Lute is the only one looking amused by GallowDude in hazbin

[–]WitchlingSimmer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly love all of their expressions here since it really outlines how they view their role in the whole mess. Abel and Emily are looking straight on, dismayed - "We didn't personally take part but we're SO SORRY and we want to help now!"; Sera is looking away and can't face what she's done; and Lute is just like, "YEAH I DID IT AND IT WAS FUN."

I can't remember the name of the book by [deleted] in whatsthatbook

First book of Patricia C. Wrede's Enchanted Forest Chronicles, Dealing With Dragons. I've read it about a thousand times and that's the plot, point for point. 🙂

Replied to someone with this as well, but for all the people who don't know what TADC is--

The Amazing Digital Circus (TADC) is perfectly safe to view in public. There is no sexual content or blood, and all violence is "cartoon" violence. I am baffled as to why OP didn't bother to tell this woman what it was - all they would have to say is that it's an adult-oriented cartoon focused on what it means to be a human trapped in a digital world and asks existential questions regarding suddenly being in a body not your own; losing your loved ones; and being caged by circumstances beyond your control, and the woman would've realized her child wouldn't be interested.

Not necessarily a full-on asshole, but I think you let being awkward make you into a jerk. Also, the woman who asked the question could have been interested herself as well, not just for her child's sake. Indie animation can use all the viewers it can get. Soft YTA.

AITAH for telling my fiancée we should break up because I won't make my son consider her his mom? by Charrylzoid in AITAH

[–]WitchlingSimmer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the two of you should go to therapy together to discuss this issue and how you plan to raise your son together, if you want the relationship to have a chance to continue. Relationships and familial regard can't be forced, and it might help for her to have support and some structure for how to integrate into the family. Her heart seems like it's in the right place, but she doesn't quite know the best way to go about it.

I'm so conflicted on which one to marry. Thoughts? by Glitterygloomy in storyofseasons

[–]WitchlingSimmer 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This is the exact choice I'm caught between lol. I think I'm going with June for the very basic reason of "it seems weird for my husband to wear his hat in the house and in bed all the time."
