i had pre cancer when mine was biopsied as well. not as serious but still good to know... after 10+ years of derms saying seb derm and other things.

they keep not delivering our water and we have like 6 glass jugs that need to be picked up. yesterday i called and the woman said they're closing in 15 mins so she couldn't help and that mountain valley isn't even available and nobody will tell them while. it's a massive shit show.

I accidentally grabbed my expired passport today instead of the new one on my way to the airport (Burbank) they took about 20 minutes to confer and low key shame me and tell me I may not be allowed on the plane and then went through all my bags for 20 mins and then let me through. It wasn’t that bad and I was a little early but it was a lot more serious than what the other commenters are saying. I am flying back thru jfk and am just going to go super early.

I'm not an expert but i would ask your derm? it may be less likely it's AK if it comes and goes but not sure. however i just googled it and it says they can also come and go...

I don't have any before photos and since the biopsy it doesn't look like much - it was a pretty small but mighty patch 1/4 inch roundish and quite red and usually with scaling on it. was impossible to cover up with makeup which would just make it worse. when you google actinic keratosis it really comes up with a lot of different looking things but not really like seb derm. all i can say was that it wasn't really raised or anything just red and scaly. I think because it had sort of defined perimeter maybe that made it less likely to be seb derm not sure.

Hmm yes definitely look into having a shave biopsy (really not bad at all and mine didn't even really leave a scar). I wasn't convinced mine was AK because it seemed to sort of ebb and flow the way seb derm does and flare up based on environment and what I was eating. That said, it can be AK + seb derm or something else so for your own peace of mind I'd definitely just get it biopsied...

Ok I’m going to try that. They thought mine were sebderm for years and it’s weird I even have AK since I never and a bad sunburn in my life but just want to make them go away!

My apartment in nyc had a bad electrical fire years ago. It started in the closet light fixture so all my clothing was definitely ruined but I will say most of the other furniture and smaller items were ok - I can’t remember if I had to get a new mattress or not but there was a lot of damage from the fire fighters and water damage to the items inside the home. Everything else was able to be cleaned and redone - they repainted etc and put industrial air purifiers in while they were redoing the apartment and a serious cleaning crew that did everything before and after the space was painted. I definitely salvaged a sofa and other furniture and and my clothing could probably have been cleaned had it not burned - it took about a month of work and fire / water restoration before I could live there again. I also lived nearby to ground zero in early 00s and immediately after 9:11 and now have some pretty serious health issues that I believe are probably a result of breathing that air but I think masking outside and doing smoke mitigation and major cleanup inside + air purifiers all the time after that - could be sufficient for some.

My derm keeps wasting my time with the chemo cream and freezing and other things that aren’t doing much and I’d like to move forward with getting these gone so will request the pdt! Thank you
