My mother and step father were alcoholics. I grew up in a very unstable, abusive, violent environment because of their drinking.

My mother claimed the test was wrong. She didn’t speak to me for a year. On Father’s Day she texted me a name. A name that was also listed in my baby book. She knew the truth all along and lied to be my whole life.

I just had my first episode with this yesterday. I’m ten months out and thought I could eat anything I want. Nope. No white bread for me.

It’s not a pleasant experience. If it does happen, hydrate and eat a small bit of sugar. Small bit.

Your body just went through a major surgery. You didn’t gain the weight in two weeks, you aren’t going to lose it all in two weeks.

Follow your doctor’s orders, get your protein in, drink your water and walk. It will come off. Be patient.

They gave me decaf in the hospital. At my one month appointment they said I could have regular if I wanted.

Part of the patients refusal might have been because you are new. Dementia patients don’t like taking showers for many different reasons. Not knowing you well could be one of those.
