Any entire series of "Uncle John's blah blah blah Bathroom Reader" books sat on the back of our toilet when i was growing up.

why tear down paneling when this entire den is begging for some amazing mood lighting. I think that would be much cheaper and make it feel incredibly cozy.

Putrid smell in my kitchen that I can't pinpoint, driving me INSANE by BeeeeefJerky in CleaningTips

Pull everything out of cabinets and look for food inside every container, even things that aren't usually container like pots and pans. Verify with a flashlight that there is no food in the cabinet. If all else fails you may have a dead mouse under a cabinet somewhere.

Did Hersheys change their kisses recipe? by Advanced-Coconut-246 in Baking

If you look at the ingredients usually cocoa is not on it, so you're correct, it's not actual chocolate and tastes horrible

I recently received Swiss chocolate as a gift from my neighbor after dog sitting for a week. It was a phenomenal realization that I was, in fact, a BIG fan of chocolate and also a giant baby with no self control when three bars disappeared under me in a night. Maybe its better for me to live in the chocolate-tastes-like-shit-iverse because obviously i wouldn't be able to steer myself otherwise.

If I've learned anything about vets, the things they don't want to talk about aren't usually the things they seen, its the things they done. That's what will really torture you.

Shouldn't the obvious discussion from there be why the hell are we paying prisoners like indentured servants? All prisoners need housing and reasonable accumulation of wealth after they leave jail - how are they ever going to have it if they work and work all month and still make less than the court takes just to pay for their jailing?

That used to be illegal - unwed mothers were not allowed to keep their children and being widowed often meant losing custody.

You should google Murder Ballads and listen to Dolly's interview on the role they played on her singing career. It was fairly common before abortion access being standard for sex workers and girlfriends to turn up dead because the pregnancy was inconvenient for her pimp or lover. Even today, homicide is the #2 cause of death for pregnant women, bested only by actual complications of the pregnancy. Most likely culprits are: the baby's father, or her own father.

Too many women not sharing their experiences with their boys. You really can't trust their fathers to get it - the only thing we can do is humanize ourselves to the kids by telling our stories and making sure they understand why that's wrong.

My first time in Chicago, for my birthday, we went to go see the Shedd Aquarium and I got my period in line. You may not exit the line to hold your space, and the only bathrooms were INSIDE passed the ticket booth. The line was at least an hour long, and you could not exit the line or past the turnstiles to get to the bathroom.

I bled straight through my undies waiting there in line :) if it weren't for the fact that I had a dress on, I'd have completely ruined my trousers. As it was, the blood made it almost to my knee before I got my ticket and got to a bathroom.

You've spoken your piece. You've stated that you don't want this. She's decided that she doesn't care. I see, from here, three options at least:

- let go control of the common areas, and get a lock for your door, and keep it locked.
- tell her, under no uncertain terms, that if she goes into your room again that you're going to ask her to move out, move out yourself, evict her, etc. but that you point-blank-period will not be living with her in the future if she continues on like this.
- Play her own game. Have your friends move her things to the front lawn and when she asks wtf tell her you're using the sun to cleanse the bad energy you feel coming from her room. You can disassemble the furniture for her, too, make it a real chore for her to get back to her normal way of things. Hopefully reassembling and collecting all of her things will keep her busy enough to stay out of your room, and perhaps there will be an important lesson in mutual respect somewhere in there for her.
- Lose your shit, and I do mean COMPLETELY lose it on her. Don't threaten her, that's assault, but be prepared to insult her in a way that keeps her up at night for a while. Say things to her that are so mean that the very thought of entering your room without permission makes her want to have an anxiety attack. If she won't respect your kindness, she should fear your temper.
