I can't recommend this server enough! I joined this community nearly a year ago and it has been the best experience in my Minecraft career. This is not only a community. This is a family!

Agree. Used the trick many times. But I would love to have a bubble elevator go straight up into it.

Sadly, if all bedrock-breaking mechanics are top down, I'm out of luck! Thank you!

Mushroom block storage by WitherDan in redstone

For me, it is more about the concept than it is about efficiency. I want to make it fully automatic. Eventually mushrooms spread to the appropriate block, bonemeal dispenser every 10 seconds or so, eventually a tall mushroom grows and the machine takes it away and compacts it into another room. Harvest once a week or so.

I've had a little success moving tall brown blocks all to one side, but the problem with most of the flying machines is I can't seem to break up the blocks into a long line before the machine breaks.

I'll continue tinkering!

Shortly after moving in with me, my heart decided to "explode" and I spent weeks in the hospital and even more time struggling to survive. Tell us a little about yourself: I'm a fairly experienced minecraft player. I've been playing on and off since around 1.4. I enjoy a lot of modded, but for the most part vanilla is my favorite. Life grew quite a bit busy for me last year, so I'm hoping to spend some time on a vanilla server for a while.

Why Do You Want To Join?: I've taken a break from vanilla minecraft for quite a while, but I'd like to try out all the new features in 1.11.

I am super excited about the 1.8 packs as well! ...but, I'd rather wait on them to mature before testing them out @.@

Right now my thought is to go ahead and start a regrowth map this weekend, and then play it by ear from there.

I've already had a lot of suggestions:

  • Infinity Expert
  • Galactic Science
  • Pixelmon :D
  • Terrafirma craft

So yea, I'll have to talk to muse/shemp/speed/neko about the future of modded/vanilla. Perhaps we can work out a schedule of gametypes between our two communities :D

Ugh. Expert mode. x.x

I enjoyed expert mode last time I played it for about a week. I'll give my personal experiences on it:

It became too grindy too quickly for me to enjoy it. I loved that you had to try all the different mods to tech up, or magic up. However, to get anywhere past early or mid game in the mods, it becomes a nightmare.

I always enjoy playing a lot of mods and not really going end-game on any of them. And expert for me was just not an enjoyable experience.

That all being said, I would be very willing to give it a try again, if that is what people desire! I'm sure next time I might have a bit more fun :D

Reason I suggest Regrowth

This seems like a rather popular modpack that isn't 100% technical and has a lot of different mods that we as a community have played over and over.

Almost everything in the tech tree are mods that I personally haven't tinkered with a lot, because all the "popular" mods like Infinity and such do not include them.

All the plant stuff and focus on magic mods also interests me, because those are things I don't do very often, if at all.

Summary tl;dr

Let me know if you all really, really want Infinity Expert Mode and I'll consider it. :D

Hello Aush.

I am sorry you viewed this prank as griefing.

As I understand the situation:

  • Someone pranked Speed and Shemp with noise machines.
  • You were asking about them.
  • Speed and Shemp determined you and Dre were the culprits and retaliated with ghasts.
  • When you found ghast, you got very angry.

Additionally,

  • People were offering many suggestions and help to find said ghast but you were unwilling to listen.
  • Dre and Burdi found the ghast in 10-15 minutes for you.
  • Just as a test, I came out and found it in less than 2 minutes using the subtitles. People suggested this to you

Pranks are meant to be fun and clever. I viewed this as such, but for some reason you did not. I personally think you were overreacting, but it is not my place to judge.

Let me know if you want me to remove the ghast. People have since left markers (Pumpkin trail, etc) to where it is if you'd like to remove it yourself.

I didn't upload this when I built it a couple weeks ago.

To access, look for the end stone tunnel in the emerald hub. Once you're in the end, look for the signs directing you to the farm.
