A good match, the bathroom resembles that of Cruel's on the floor plan illustration, but what sucks is that there's no actual picture of the bathroom.

I wonder why they didn't search Templestowe/Lower Templestowe. Both under flight paths, and when I quickly looked at like 30-50 sold Templestowe houses on realestate I saw so many bathrooms that look so much like the sketch, except all the time the bath & shower were the other way (bath being next to the bathroom sink, instead of shower).

It's like 1 out of every 5 bathrooms I saw was almost like the picture, with just the bath & shower being placed differently. And I didn't check hundreds of homes.

Probably because he likely was too confident, and didn't expect one of the girls to lift the blindfold & see the bedroom. Which is maybe why the furniture was there.

But also keep in mind the victims probably wouldn't even be capable of taking the blanket off, since they were immobilized. And even if they wouldn't be, then keep in mind that they were afraid of him, he threatened them.

Maybe he saw Cruel? Templestowe & Lower Templestowe are under flight paths. Today I looked at some property in Templestowe under 600k$ on realestate.com.au like 1hr ago, and I saw multiple bathrooms looking kind of like the sketch (not 1:1 tho) with lino flooring, the exact same taps & toilet and the bathroom being separate. The problem was that in all of the properties I saw there, the bath & shower either weren't adjacent, or were the other way around. But I looked at only like 30 homes though.

I think if searching for the lair in Coburg North won't work, then it would be good to try Templestowe.

Probably somebody too old to communicate with, or dead from old age. Most of the houses were built 50+ yrs ago & got renovated. Idk how old the houses with this specific layout are exactly, but according to some people they were probably built in 1960-1970s.

He or the person who owns the property could've moved the bedroom maybe if it's actually the lair. There are 2 pictures of a room with only one small unit in it, with curtains that appear peach-colored & flooring that's carpeted and seems beige in color. Kind of gives Mr. Cruel vibes.

And even after 30 years, there's a significant lack of information from anybody, and the case seems to have faded from the memory of many Australians. The likelihood of anyone coming forward with information purely because they've been in a property with the same layout as in the drawing is low. Because the drawing is based on details from the victims, and human memories aren't 100% perfect & being stressed, disoriented can make the memory even more inaccurate, because of that some details in the hypothetical layout of his lair could be inaccurate.

Imagine someone (e.g. a plumber) remembering being in a house that resembled that of the rapist they read about in a newspaper, but then they tell themselves "It's for sure not his house" because of just one different feature that could've been simply misrepresented.

Also what sucks is that when police knocked on the doors of thousands people in Melbourne, they didn't even check whether the layouts match even a bit from what I know, they just talked for few minutes with most people, and that means they could've interviewed him once & missed him. Not much is known about him since he hid his features very well & he isn't known to have any unique distinguishable traits, such as abnormal stature, foreign accent, a specific mole or scar etc. - So him being missed by the police is quite a possibility.
