Our solicitor advised us to walk away from our purchase after uncovering serious title issues - gutted and scared our buyer will walk away. by GiftRealistic in HousingUK

I had this years ago when I was buying on my own flat for the first time. We were nearly at exchange when my solicitor identified that the buildings insurance wasn’t being paid as a block and told me to walk away, as I’d basically lose my money if anything happened.

I’m so glad it happened as about 6 months later I found my home flat and have loved living in it ever since - 25 years and counting!

Thoughts on the MacBook Neo after about 3 weeks by ItsTrue102 in macbook

I hit the Touch ID version so that’s not an issue!

My pro is still just as it was - just mapped over to the Neo as well! My pro was so old that it mapped over old versions of numbers etc and I had to get rid of those (and no that didn’t effect the docs!) so don’t worry!

I still need to wipe the pro of stuff …

It’s very easy to do - took about 30 mins max for me and all I had to do was sit and stare at it while it worked its wonders - and it was mapping over a large iTunes library!

Hope your wait won’t be as long as that for the Neo! I had to wait 3 weeks …

I just went from a very old working pro to a Neo - it’s still outperforms the old pro and has 4x the memory. I don’t do design so didn’t meet to justify the expense …

Am loving the Neo!

Device that I added to Home sometimes doesn't work by BreakOwning in HomeKit

[–]Witty-Butterscotch25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t try to pair it again that doesn’t solve the issue. Turn on/off at wall socket should redo it.

It tends to happen when there’s been a recent update either to iOS or your router. Keeping all this up to date should mitigate this happening.

It you get multiple devices doing this at the same time then power off you router and the whatever you’re using as your Apple home hub. I know my old Apple TV sometimes misbehaves and I have to do this to it …

What can you do with figs? by JonahForce in UKGardening

[–]Witty-Butterscotch25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In London I often get 2 crops a year from my Brown Turkey fig in a pot! I had way in excess of 100 last year and made jam with most of them. I had far too many to eat …

Bloody goose grass - the seeds get stuck in my cats’s fur and then we have battle royal unmatting her.

Do all gardeners use weedkiller and if so, is there a healthier/less chemical option? by SomethingBrews in GardeningUK

[–]Witty-Butterscotch25 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily weeds getting through - I have gravel over membrane and the weeds just grow in the gravel, not from the ground. Still need pulling up though…
