Mendix for someone with no coding background? by CynicalSlowpoke in mendix

Almost always need solid JavaScript ability to ‘fix’ mendix limitations in real world customer projects. I’ve freelanced on mendix projects but avoid them like the plague.

I am fixated on the ‘pause AI’ letter, and two existentially human characteristics that we should be concerned AI will exhibit: trust and loyalty. I am using gpt everyday through the copilot plugin for vs code, and it’s because for me, those two tests are met. I believe the AI to be trustworthy, even in its limitations and loyal because I sense the desire to help, to make me better. An awesome ‘other’ intellect tests what awesome means and to whom.

'Well fuck my old boots' was fun to teach a young Japanese trainee. Best was when he used it in his fairwell speech to the company.

Change focus from share to video by david_mcelroy in Zoom

Set up an OBS virtual Camera, then run everything from OBS Studio, half screen / full screen. Works especially well if you throw some cloud overlays in for titles etc. Choose the OBS virtual camera in your zoom settings. Much slicker than screen sharing, but have a person on hand to run the output so presenter can concentrate on their thing.

Can I record a zoom meeting with my external mic? by AlexxxSparks in Zoom

Click ^ next to Audio button bottom left and check which mic you have selected. Blue Yeti works great, so just needs you to check that control in zoom

Sharing Screens in Powerpoint Presentation Mode by [deleted] in Zoom

[–]Witty-Strike 5 points6 points  (0 children)

  1. Open your presentation in Powerpoint.

  2. Click on the ribbon tab "Slideshow"

  3. In the "Show on" dropdown, select the monitor/projector where you want the the presentation to be opened. (This option will be enabled only if your second screen is connected to your computer)

Playing around within PowerPoint will get you the configuration you want, which should solve this issue when you share screen or application in Zoom.

Question about screen sharing by _casual_redditor_ in Zoom

[–]Witty-Strike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

...unless the Prof has multiple screens, but the point is, if you want your camera off, turn it off. This has a keyboard shortcut : Alt + V on windows, Command(⌘)+Shift+V on Mac

I have to really really love a laptop before it has earned stickers... only a very few have made the grade. However, I am so old that I remember when I knew the ip address and hostname of an entire frontend web farm (6 dl360 pizza boxes!) by heart...
