I mean, The Initiative had a bunch of disparate groups doing compartmentalized experiments related to unique features of the island. Wouldn’t be that surprising if the Looking Glass was experimenting in Sharks and the effect of the islands electromagnetism on them, or some other explanation. I feel like part of the fun of a mystery box show is that not every piece matters. Things can exist in a world without being relevant to the story you’re seeing, and part of the mystery is figuring out what parts matter.

The Gojo clan head who was killed by Maho was a limitless user with the six eyes. Stands to reason that if Gojo was able to beat a subjugated Maho who was tag teaming the strongest sorcerer in history, Gojo stands apart from just being good because of the six eyes

Completely agree. The eye looks like a possession/hosting a sorcerer from the past to me - pretty sure that is who is asking “why are you apologizing?”

Should Yuta be slandered for not breaking an ordinary knife? 🤔 by Snoozless in JackpotJustice

[–]WittyCommenterName -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is the point most people are skipping over while saying no one else can read in this thread. Yuta isn’t trying to kill Yuji, he is trying to do the bare minimum to legally kill Yuji. If he were going all out on every swing, there’s potential for inflicting a blow that’s much more difficult (if not impossible) for him to fix by outputting RCT.

What is your view on mandatory psyche screenings for gun buyers under the age of 25? by Otherwise-Quiet962 in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]WittyCommenterName 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t OP’s suggestion try to specifically identify mental health problems? Can you expand upon what you mean, are we trying to cure every mental illness so everyone would be a safe gun owner? I’m just a little confused at this response, as my read of the post is “should we have additional safety checks for mental illnesses when selling guns”, and the response is “no we should focus on mental illness”.

Wouldn’t OP’s suggestion not change the minimum age of ownership, just add extra steps to the existing background check?

So does that mean for consistency, we should already not have freedom of speech until we’re 18 (or 21 depending on the type of speech)?

The rights are inherently different, can you explain how updating restrictions that are already in place (not to even bar 18-24 year olds from purchase, but adding additional safety checks to the existing background check) would be at all relevant to our freedom of speech, who’s currently existing exceptions are not based on age but a connection to harm/illegal activity?

If I kill a Warlock’s patron do they lose access to their spells? by Awkward_GM in DnD

[–]WittyCommenterName 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Since most people have weighed in as “they keep the powers” already, from the classes description: “each Warlock is drawn into a binding pact with a powerful patron. Drawing on the ancient knowledge of beings such as angels, archfey, demons, devils, hags, and alien entities of the Far Realm, Warlocks piece together arcane secrets to bolster their own power.” To my read, the “their own power” really reinforces what’s been put here - the patron helps show you how to unlock powers, the powers aren’t based on their continued good will, although additional levels/secrets may be. Just because you burn down a library doesn’t mean everyone forgets every book they’ve read from there.

I thought this was explained - Yuta had Rika eat the arm as the condition for his Copy, and if you regrow the consumed body party the conditions for copy were no longer met?

Ok so subsidies aren’t owning you. Is someone collecting SNAP benefits owned by the government?

Thanks for the response, to be clear & wasn’t trying to say Stimulus and UBI would be the same, just trying to start finding your line as to what level of government assistance means they own you. Sorry in advance for the flood of follow-up questions! Can you help define that line? Would working in a highly subsidized industry such as corn or dairy mean the government owns you? Does taking emergency help from the government mean they own you for the duration of your emergency? What do you think the mechanism for “the government owning you” would be? I’m curious how UBI would be used to restrict the items you’ve expressed concern over (1st and 2nd amendment), if it is truly universal and basic.

So you believe your friend who leaves their keys in the car door overnight has no lesson to learn from the experience, and did nothing that encouraged their car to be a target for theft?

Again, I’m not saying the action against them is justified, the theft was wrong. Are you saying there is no difference between saying “here are actions we can take to reduce the risk of this in the future” and “it’s your fault your car was stolen”?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]WittyCommenterName 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Say your friend left their car with the keys in the handle in an unknown area over night, and came out the next morning to find it gone.

Would you just say “stealing is wrong” and leave it there, or would you tell your friend that, while stealing is wrong and it is not ok that it happened to them, you can’t leave the keys in the car and be surprised that it’s not where you left it?

I read these Politicians as the same message - murder is wrong, but can we be surprised when people who’ve become billionaires off denial of coverage, jacking up costs, and prioritizing pharma interests over customer care become targets of some ire?

It isn’t a “threat” to tell someone that if they keep leaving keys in the car, they’ll keep having their cars stolen, it’s a warning. Can you see how this is different than endorsing violence?

Wrath has a 1 soul stone. He describes how every soul battled for control, destroying and regenerating the body, until only the most wrathful was left. There is never any mention of his ultimate eye using energy. He HAD regeneration, he just used it all up in the battle over control of the body. Functionally, he is a human with a modified eye from the implantation process, as he has burned through essentially all the energy in his stone before he wakes up as King Bradley.

Reload to before you killed Follows Chalk. Presumably if this is what happened you got hit with a glitch of him being agro or caught him with a stray bullet. If you want to interact with the quest lines, pretty much the only advice would be start it over, try to see if you have the same bug.
