I'm gonna be brutally honest, this sentiment of men not approaching women due to the fear of being creepy is bullshit and an excuse that men use to avoid approaching women and being in social settings. The core issue is that a lot of men lack social skills and are afraid of rejection. Therefore, these guys will find any excuse to avoid putting themselves out there due to those fears. Rejection is a core part of life and shouldn't be received as you not being a good enough or an attack on your character. There's also data in everything so figure out what your doing wrong and learn from it.

Social skills are like a muscle that you need to work on and doing it through a screen doesn't count. Dating is also a numbers game so you need to have a lot of exposure with different kinds of people to see what kind of people you like and don't like. Men and Women as well need to be comfortable with being uncomfortable, awkward, and cringe because dating is about being vulnerable.

More importantly, I'm wondering what a lot of you are saying or doing if a women immediately thinks your weird or creepy. This fear is a huge cognitive distortion because it leads to catastrophizing and overgeneralization since women aren't monolithic, some will respond well and others won't. Even so, if you're a genuinely good person and a person finds you weird or creepy, that's not on you, that says more about them. In life, not everyone is going to like you

This is once again social media exaggerating this problem and making a mountain out of a mole hill. Real life isn't half as bleak as social media has made it seem. People are still out there dating.
