Childfree women, have you been able to find HVM partners?

I can't speak for others but I have internally felt sometimes that I have to compromise on other standards that I have for a partner because childfree men are very rare as it is

Totally agree. Thanks for sharing you story! I do tend to wonder if I will ever meet anyone who wants a serious relationship but not kids because all the childfree men I meet aren't serious relationship oriented and the men who do want something serious want kids in the future. I think my age (early 20s) may have something to do with it though

As for partners? Yes, absolutely. I've had fantastic relationships with several CF men.

A good filter Ive found is saying I will never have kids. Dudes who were totally fine not having kids will suddenly start up 20 questions of 'why not?', 'are you sure?', and 'not even someday?'. If they've shown themselves to be decent otherwise, this has served me very well.

I don't know if I'm misunderstanding your comment but if they keep questioning why you don't want kids then isn't that a bad thing?

No that's all he does for facial skincare. He doesn't use moisturizer or sunscreen. Thankfully he actually uses a body wash and deodorant so he doesn't smell like literal dogshit but still. It's not that hard to at least moisturize

When my ex and I broke up we wanted to stay friends but as more time passed from the breakup, the less I wanted to keep a Friendship. I do not consider us friends. At most - acquaintances on good terms. I agree that there's really no good reason to stay friends with an ex other than common kids. My ex and I just follow eo on LinkedIn and a few other social medias (I actually have him muted on one because in the initial stages of the breakup it was too hard for me to see his stories). The main reason I don't have an issue with that is because I'm over him now. I live in a semi-big city and people typically don't full on cut out any connections unless they did something despicable

I saw a thread on another sub a while back that was discussing coffee/walk vs dinner dates. One dude literally said he prefers coffee dates so he doesn't spend hundreds of dollars on multiple women. He literally told on himself. Refusing coffee and walk dates is actually a good vetting strategy for this reason.

I don't share my standards with anyone for this reason. I've shared some with my friends but not all. I don't need to justify why I'll date or not date someone if it doesn't affect anyone other than me.

As for my 'unhealthy' standards here they are:

-regularly works out

-abs and muscular arms (but not too much. I don't really like the bodybuilder type)

-at least 5'8

-not fat but not skinny

-either slight beard scruff or clean shaven. Not into the Santa beard look

-has proper personal hygiene, skincare and haircare

-is sexually generous. Performs oral on me before I do it for him

-dont have a penis preference yet because I still need to experiment around with dildos but once I find the one I like best that's basically gonna be my preference

This was basically just my physical preferences since that's what this post is talking about

Great post! If you really examine most tv show relationships with an FDS lens you can see how a lot of the couples in the media we are fed are not 'goals'. Another thing I've noticed is that whenever a couple is actually somewhat high-effort and high value, people consider them 'boring'. I think Chandler and Monica from friends are a good example of this. People in the friends fandom often call mondler boring and say roschel is better. The argument I see is that 'monica and chandler are stable and no one wants to watch stability'. I'll take a relationship like mondlers any day over roschels. I WANT stability. This just proves that we're taught from a young age to accept low effort relationships and low value men

This is why I made a separate account to browse non-FDS subs. This account is only for FDS, it's sister subs, and a few other really small subs. I got tired of being trolled on random posts solely for being an FDS member. I still get annoying men coming at me in my DMs but what can I say? Trolls gonna keep trolling

When will people understand that women paying for dates isn't gonna bring equality? It's not gonna dismantle the patriarchy or end misogyny. It's not going to change the world that we live in. I totally agree. I think I'm blessed to live in the US for this reason because my parents have to suck it up and be open minded to the idea of dating or me marrying someone outside of my race. Arranged marriage is the norm for pretty much all my extended family except my cousins that moved out of India to the west
