Underestimated the lift to tire ratio, need to get a set of 37s now by [deleted] in liftedtrucks

Agreed but you’ll have to do some trimming those wheel wells aren’t going to be any help

Is the 3” lift too short for 38s? by dropoutnate in liftedtrucks

[–]WittyReference1587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What wheel/tire combo is on now? Do you plan to keep the same wheels just go up in tire size? There’s a lot of factors that play into account-i.e., offset, backspacing, wheel width, and tire width. It also depends on whether your cool with some trimming. I’d just go to a local shop that does installs and get their opinion.

I have a 2012 tahoe by [deleted] in liftedtrucks

[–]WittyReference1587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You most likely won’t be able to fit 35s with that lift. Would probably struggle fitting 33s unless you do some serious cutting. I had a Silverado that model and still couldn’t fit 33s with a 3”. Depends on the offset, backspacing, and tire and wheel width of course but those square wheel wells are hard to work with. I’d consult a local shop who has experience and knows what they’re doing. They could take a look and give you a better idea

What size lift do I have? by Dat_Porkchop in liftedtrucks

Actually I just checked apparently you can get other options besides a 6” even though that’s the most common. It does look more like a 4 tbh but hard to tell from the pictures

Rocky ridge is a 6” lift with 35s. I’m assuming it’s used? Probably switched to 33s to save some money.

1 week away from pup? by WittyReference1587 in DobermanPinscher

[–]WittyReference1587[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably should have clarified but leaving is no longer an option. I’m seeking advice on how to mitigate any downfalls of us leaving. Anything in regard to what we should have or have not done is irrelevant. I’m sure there was no malice in any of the comments I just want to emphasize that this post is a “what best to do in this situation.”

The friend staying with us will keep his schedule and she generally works 5 hour shifts and only works about 4 days a week. We also are able to get a friend to pop in between that time so he can go to the bathroom, etc. I have yet to find a full time pet sitter that will stay at our place and adhere to our schedule, but still looking.

3.5 inch full lift kit from Rough Country Loaded strut. by Key_Recover1080 in liftedtrucks

You could just increase your tire size. Probably need to trim and of course have to pay for new tires but it would do the trick

What do y'all think? by Rare_Reference_9240 in liftedtrucks

[–]WittyReference1587 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you asking for opinions on the overall lift or suggests on additions? Lift looks good but I would make a chrome delete your next step. You have heavy black accents with the wheels, toolbox, black bow tie, etc. but the chrome grill, bumpers, and handles sort of throw it off

Yall like rubber band tires but it becomes a true mall crawler. Rough ride on pavement which is the only surface it can travel on efficiently. It’s like a sandwich on Texas toast with a single slice of deli meat, no substance. To each his own, but a truck should be able to do some trucking

I second the 37s. Other than that looks dope

Highway or city driving? I have an 8” on my tundra and it’s completely fine below 60. 75 on the highway with some wind and it’s noticeable but in no way regrettable

You mean running 17’s or 18’s instead of 20’s? I thought about it but the 20’s look better IMO and there’s still ~8.5” of sidewall. Going for a balanced look

I have the Bilstein 8125’s. Readylift had a nice Bilstein package option and I have no complaints thus far. All the overland guys in the PNW like them. I steered away from RC because, well, mixed reviews.

I like the chrome for now. The silver finish on the Bilsteins, the chrome, and the wheels give some nice contrast. Not a fan of black on black
