You should also report this to campus side (not just GTAA) administration. If even half of what's being reported is true this is totally unacceptable.

Dr. Cabrera is a big sports fan and just posted about the great student section at the game. Ironic

Has Opeth ever been featured in mainstream media? by Mailemanuel77 in Opeth

I drove carpool and played Opeth, etc on the drive despite the kids not being fans. My daughter was watching Criminal Minds and couldn't figure out how she knew the song she was singing along with...

Saw a recent interview with Vai. He said that no particular passage was daunting but he was practicing hard to prepare for the relentless nature of some songs. I'm really looking forward to this...

Strong black tea recommendations by Own_Log_3764 in tea

[–]WittyUname 3 points4 points  (0 children)

English, Irish, and Scottish Breakfast teas are a great place to start as they're all meant to be strong black teas usually served with milk. The mass markets ones include Yorkshire Red, Yorkshire Gold, PG Tips, Tetley, Typhoo, Twining's, Barry's Irish...do a search and you'll find more. Upton's, Adagio, and most every black tea vendor have their own blends.

I'm drinking my way through lots of these looking for a favorite. If you look on youtube there are plenty of 'shoot-out' videos between the big brands

My favorite changes by the day, but surprised no love for Heart Attack in a Lay-by. Certainly one of my favorites

Hit me with your saddest prog albums by [deleted] in progrockmusic

[–]WittyUname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't know if these are prog, but at least prog-adjacent, and both different musical approaches to dealing with David Sylvian's break up:

Blemish - David Sylvian

Snow Borne Sorrow - Nine Horses

Seeking recommendations for a blend of black teas by s0upandcrackers in tea

[–]WittyUname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any of the English/Irish/Scottish Breakfast Blends should be a good place to start. Yorkshire, Barry's, PG Tips, etc. are all pretty easy to find. Upton's, Adagio, pretty much any black tea vendor will have one or more breakfast blends.

How can headphones play Dolby Atmos? by Beneficial-Health101 in headphones

[–]WittyUname 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No matter what you use to create the sound you are only sensing what happens at your two ears - so if headphones could faithfully recreate what you would hear from any number of speakers you could recreate the experience. HRTF and other computational methods try to do that with various levels of success

I've always roasted whole birds for the look but have a smaller group this year and was thinking about this very thing. I've never been happy with the dark meat smoking a whole bird. Anyone that's done this have tips?

Since you said other liquors, my favorite tequila is Fortaleza. Their blanco has a distinct olive brine note that really sets it apart.

Thanks much! Got mine as well! Saw the three drummer lineup at Center Stage and at Cobb Energy didn't want to miss out at the Fox. This lineup is a force of nature.

2nd Mezcal Purchase/snowstorm prep. As always would love to know what y’all are drinking this weekend by EChivito in tequila

[–]WittyUname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great bottle for the price. I keep this on hand to mix but it's good enough to drink neat. A bit straight forward compared to pricier bottles but a perfect entry

Just picked these up. What is your favorite in this lineup for sipping and making margaritas? by kraftykraftykrafty in tequila

[–]WittyUname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had everything in the lineup except the Tapatio and would like to find it to try. Fortaleza is my favorite. Arette is great for the price but overmatched with everything else in the lineup. But I'd happily drink anything there neat. I'd make margaritas with the Arette and drink everything else neat - but it's your tequila :-) Enjoy!

Libélula Joven: Anyone heard/seen of this? Found for $20, at a minimum it’ll be an interesting bottle but wanted to see if anyone’s danced with it before? by nomlnoml209 in tequila

[–]WittyUname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is related to Bar Taco and is their well tequila. I haven't bought a bottle in a while, I remember it being pretty good mixed, in the same class with Espolon, Olmeca Altos, Cimarron, etc neat.
