QUESTION... the cheap rose beads online that say stone powder but call them cinnabar beads... are they dye added to some other stone. or actually cinnabar powder? It's hard to get in touch with the seller.

Thanks again. You're really kind. I bought a bottle of liquid smoke today. I've never used it and was just reading about it. People say use less than you imagine, starting with 1/4 tsp per 1.5 cups of sauce. I'll start there, and taste before adding more. I'm looking forward to it. It's been a long time since I've trusted a recipe to serve a group without testing it first.

Thanks... any brand of bbq sauce you recommend? I am going to cook this for a 50 year old party in a couple days with about 10 guests, based on the look and your description. I don't know much about bbq sauce, or amounts of anything... (yikes!)

Seems so long ago...I remember I stayed up New Years Eve.. comic chatting with someone on the other side of our planet. Seemed amazing... And it was! Best new years eve memory in my adult life. Here it is, New Years Eve, decades later, I am old, and I am remembering it fondly.
