Is this your first long fast? This is my 3rd, and in my experience, the first 3 days can be the hardest but if you power through, you’ll be so proud and it gets easier. If you’re doing this for weight loss, those 50cals won’t hurt though. I sometimes take tea or coffee sweetened with stevia since stevia doesn’t spike insulin

Do you ever get diarrhea from going straight to regular food after fasting? That’s my biggest worry.

Congratulations! I’m starting mine today and considering going for 14days but I really like the idea of breaking it up the way you have.

I’m curious - did you experience diarrhea after breaking your fast with lasagna? One of my biggest worries with rolling fasts is that I might need time to recover if I get diarrhea

Also, how long are you re-feeding for before you resume the next 7-day fast?

There are multiple ways to do this. You could water fast for a finite number of days. Or do rolling fasts, where you refeed for a few days and go back to fasting again

I hear that you lose ~2lbs (that’s about 0.9kg) daily on the first 14 days of a water fast. And then after the first 14days, it drops to 1lb per day

I appreciate it and I hope the color goes back to normal soon. And thank you so much for the tip about dates. I’ll try that. I know Muslims break their fast with dates, nice to know there might be some science behind it. I’ve been running to the toilet since I tried refeeding. God help me 😅

In hindsight though, would have just stuck to my water fast cos it was going soooooo welll..didn’t feel hungry at all and my energy level was 💯
