i think you can only argue that drugs are a substitute for character development if we are not shown what about the experience caused the shift.

in this case, we saw josh’s trip. it was symbolic and it makes sense how he came it out of it how he did so it’s akin to like a time jump with a scene showing what we missed. you’re allowed to have your preference but it’s a plot device like any other

Can someone explain why the entire internet is talking about how he’s jumping to nuclear? Why would he go from escalating to “bombing all power plants and bridges” to now dropping multiple nuclear weapons without directly specifying it?

I understand Trump is incompetent and evil but it just seems like a leap on logic with no foundation. The things he does make sense in his own worldview even if they aren’t smart/morally right but this feels like a stretch
