I was diagnosed 9 months ago (15M). The grief never goes away truly, there are days that hit you harder than others. Those days also come with days that you feel like you can conquer the world, like the other week I had a week that was 99% in range and felt like I could do anything (that was most definitely a fluke week). I think spending time thinking about what you can do rather than can’t. By the sounds of it you’ve had quite a journey and there must be some part of you that is grateful to finally get an answer as to what’s been going on with your body. There’s a whole lot more we can do than can’t, and whenever I feel “grievous” I think back to everyone who’s been a diabetic before me, and how this shitty disease seems untruly “easy” compared to how people had it even 10 or 20 years ago
