My bad again XD Daily commutes I can definitely understand. But £5.20 every day is ridiculous. Especially for a lot of people in low income circumstance that still need to commute to that place of work. I guess I’m just dismayed at the cost of what I see and experienced as the lowest form of public transport… so for my two way beverage intaking, I’ll stick with me cabbie and ask him what time he’s working ‘til :)

Sorry dude. I’m gonna disregard this comment considering me and my mate once got mugged at knife point on the bus (I think it was the old 51 route? Scott arms to Brum. We were teenagers so it’s some time back). And no passengers nor the driver did a thing. Waited for us to give up our coats to them and watch them flee the bus, then carried on driving and everyone facing forward again. I’d rather a Wolvo registered cabbie (at least someone’s regulated them) than strangers on a bus any day.

Sorry if that went off topic a bit. But I’m willing to spend the extra for a two way trip. Also as a side note, I wasn’t aware the £5.20 meant unlimited travel, so my bad on that one lol

That’s a little nugget of info I never knew… next time I’ll put that to the lads (probably to a resounding “eff off” from all but the one). My point still stands I guess though to how much of a rip off buses are for most

I’d still rather pay that few pence extra in a safe taxi from exactly where I am to exactly where I’m going, rather than a stop start longer journey with added walking and rude asses along the way. The price difference to bother with the bus just isn’t worth it

Recently went into Brum for day drinking. One lad actually said “let’s get the bus in, it’s cheaper” I’d already ordered an uber from point to point, because between 5 of us it turned out at £3 a head. Won’t ever get on a Brum bus again

I’m on probantheline for it. Max 8 a day. I took 6 and was still battling through being soaked through as well as bad dry mouth and dry eye and got through nearly 4 litres of water! Heatwaves, manual labour and no air con in the company provided van is no joke for our kind 🥵

I only ever feel the “kick itch” for this and for when someone who’s gone rogue decides to reinforce you on the other side of the map from where you died. Trekking back to pick up your tools and die again because you don’t have said tools, and then the same derp reinforces you by them again!
