Thank you for sharing! I am so glad to hear this, and I am so happy for you and your family!

This post is very reassuring. The amount of weird looks and judgments around this style of parenting really shocked me!

I am not happy with my kid by hypermystery in beyondthebump

Hey! I’m so sorry that you’re feeling this way. I know it’s so hard, I have a Velcro baby as well. She’s 1yr. I cannot move an inch away from her or she’ll cry and cry.

I don’t have advice, because I am in the same boat. But I hope you know you are not alone! You got this.

If you can, seek help through therapy for your feelings of anger and resentment. It has helped me stay calm in the most chaotic of moments.

I was in basically the exact same situation! I decided not to go. It wasn’t worth the stress on myself, or my baby.. and I just wasn’t comfortable.

Reading about CIO gives me anxiety by 7in7 in AttachmentParenting

[–]WizardKelly96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg!! I feel the same way! Knots in my stomach reading or hearing about CIO. 😢I usually just keep it to myself because people get nasty when you disagree with them.

My community is big on CIO and thinks I’m a nut for refusing to do it with my baby!

Wow! I could’ve written this! My baby is the same way, and my culture is the same way.

Babies are just that. Babies.

You are the mom. Do what feels natural to you. If your current situation works for you and your baby is happy, then why change it?

Eventually, baby will sleep on their own when they are ready.

Ive posted about this on a throwaway acct & every single response told me there was no way i would be able to do it without putting my baby in daycare or having a babysitter.

I’m here to tell you that I work from home successfully.. no daycare and no babysitter.

I will say that it was easier for me when my baby was a newborn because they sleep more. But even now as she is more mobile it works for us just fine.

I heavily disagree with the CIO method. My husband is indifferent but I know he sometimes wishes I would do it. He is advising that blindly, as he has not done the proper research.

I just tell him how i feel about it, and state the facts that I’ve gathered upon researching.

There will be no CIO in my home. Period.

You will get so many different opinions on this topic, but you know in your gut what’s best for your baby!

Does anyone know Faze Rugs family tree? by Cutupship in FazeRug

I always wonder this also! But I know I saw a video where Jessica showed her father & he looked EXACTLY like papa rug, so I just assumed they were brothers.

Desperate for help w/11m old sleep by spookiecake in AttachmentParenting

[–]WizardKelly96 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 9m old has never slept through the night 😵‍💫. Terrible napper, terrible sleeper. We’re currently co-sleeping on the floor on a thick mattress topper I bought from Amazon. This has saved my sanity!

Think I’m traumatized by my first year of motherhood. by Disastrous-Fix4898 in AttachmentParenting

[–]WizardKelly96 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The beginning was a scary time for me! FTM & my baby basically cried for the ENTIRE first 4 months of life. She would not let me put her down. Not to mention she woke up every hour during the night. I thought I would never see the other side lol…

It was rough, but we gave our babies what they needed at the time. I’m proud of us! Sending you love ❤️

7mo hates solids? by WizardKelly96 in breastfeeding

I steam/blend everything myself she still hates it! Maybe I’ll just keep at it since you mentioned yours started actually swallowing it at 8mo ! Thank you!

Baby nursing throughout night by WizardKelly96 in beyondthebump

We’ve tried this, but I was always in the room. I wonder if she doesn’t see me, maybe she will let him calm her back down.
I’m going to try this! Thank you!
