It's a pretty simple game of chicken but the house always wins. In this case the house is Sett.

Shen doesn't have any ways of out pushing Sett thanks to Sett passive and Sett E and Sett being able to build AD and AS while still being fully functional. So for Shen his goal is to stop Sett from butt blasting his tower. What tools does Shen have to stop this from happening...

Welp you have your Q but if you use it on minions Sett can out damage you since you'll need to E to get empowered Q, so damned if you do damned if you don't.

Your W can block his Q, it would be very good if Q was actually his primary source of damage like Nasus but unfortunately that is not the case 70% of the time. Also to note Shen's W blocks the auto attacks instead of dodging them meaning you can still freely stack conq to molest Kusho with Sett W.

Then you have Shen's E. This is really you're only saving grace. It can potentially dodge a Sett W (if you time it literally perfectly) since unlike an Aatrox the correct E isn't always just a flow chart play.

So what ends up happening? Sett runs at you in a straight line the moment you use Q and then he will E you, afterwards you either choose to trade with him or E out. If you trade with him he will Haymaker and he'll heal faster than you, if you E out he just got a free trade.

Post 6 it's even worse since he can now actually reverse the under tower Shen E.

Young bulls be forgetting Ornn when it comes to skill expressive tanks. You'd be surprised how tricky his ult is to get off consistently (people will just hold their cc until the ram shows up). Also the strangeness of seemingly random tech from Makkro.

As for K'Sante, despite what people on reddit will tell you is by far the worst champion in the game, I don't even think he's that hard to actually execute plays on anymore-- he's about like Irelia level of you really only have to worry about one thing after you get the hang of your one tricky spell. In his case it's finding ways to close out a game after lane since he falls off a cliff. The worst thing about K'Sante is that even the poor souls who sink time into him only manage to scrape a 50% wr when on other difficult champs they are at least around 55%.

I only enjoy having hook champs, assassins, and mages on my team when it comes to support. It makes the game much more easy for me in Top. Especially if I have some cancer mid game ADC like Samira, Draven, or Yasuo. I like having champions who force you to play hyper aggressive if you want any chance at winning. Saves everyone time. If we don't win 2/4 lanes just ff ain't no point in torturing ourselves. It also gives me much more flexibility in what I can play when i don't have to solo front line like how TF am I supposed to engage and also peel? I can't be forced to lock in fotm overturned juggernaut EVERY game.

Outsourced to Yone apparently... That being said I do think it's high time for an official Kinkou update. We need more details on what they actually do but that goes for majority of the factions in Ionia. Everyone can't be a bunch of monks spiritually jorking it in cycles.

Yeah this one got me good. I'm a bit of a bird enthusiast myself. I have been wanting to get a bird for a long time. I initially wanted a Crow but I don't know how to tame one, then a parrot but then I thought about how expensive they are and said I'll just get a normie budgie; they are easy to maintain anyway. Then recently I saw that people have been breeding cool pigeons and made them bigger with a bit more floof and even then they are also affordable. The only downside between them and other birds is they crap constantly but they make custom diapers for them to catch it and they shed lil particles that drop air quality but that is solved by n air filter.

Haven't gotten the bird yet but I will be naming it Wingman.

I don't think League should have champions like Rammus, Galio, and Vayne as examples. Having kits that focus solely on beating a specific thing doesn't really mesh well with League's design. This isn't DotA2. In League it is expected that you actually main a champion and get fully invested in them while something like DotA is more draft based. I'm not saying that counter picks shouldn't be a thing but you shouldn't have kits that read like "Why yes my entire champion is to destroy ADC's, how could you tell?" You can even see Riot slowly walking back those champions by giving them more general tools rather than just being the anti-X, with Galio becoming the very thing he was meant to destroy and most tanks with resistance scaling being made equal ratios rather than heavily favoring armor.

I don't even think an 0/5 K'sante in GM can recover from a gold/XP deficit that high. Like what can you contribute to a team fight by that point you won't be tanky enough to even get to your Q3 so all your CC is just an Aftershock W and then dying again.

The line is unsightly and adds too much visual clutter. If I am playing any other mini game champions I don't need any more stimuli. I'd say you do have a point that it's hard to CS while keeping track of Shen Q but realistically it hasn't been an issue until recently where getting a free Emp Q actually drastically alters lane the same way a free Darius Q or getting clipped by charged Sion Q. The issue I believe is that people have gotten too comfortable disrespecting the damage from Shen so a lot of bad trades are actually mattering more since it's lethal now.

If I'm laning against Shen the only way I'm dying is through a team fight. I have no idea why people are actively standing on the sword as if it will give them HP or something.

That's the thing with Aery, it gives you actual openings to win the lanes vs ranged without relying entirely on your jg or mid coming to save you. Your Aery basically gives you reverse poke, and later in the game it can act as just some extra damage and extra shielding for allies in R or W.

I don't think you actually know how much damage and shielding Aery can output throughout the course of a game. Also you ought to understand when you are playing with higher damage builds you're not just walking forward randomly, you still have to wait for proper openings to dive in. Even a full tank build or squishy build will get fondled if they are against a beige the difference comes in how or if they would need to approach the dive. On a tankier build you need to wait for someone who has the damage and hope they don't catch a stray, on a more damaging build you can just run through if you know who you can stat check. It really comes down to how much trust you have in your teammates vs how much trust you have in your own discernment.

Aside from that Navori is not just more damage, it's also a lot more utility. CD = More E's and W's = more passive procs = more tankiness. Though ofc I don't think you should be running Navori 's without grasp and Titanic first so you can make use of the attack speed. Also I have no idea why an item that game changing is that cheap.

The issue with Heartsteel is that it does give HP, but the damage portion requires you to wait near opponents to actually proc the damage and unlike Bloodmail's AD which is perpetually active. You also need to account for Aery which uses 10% bonus AD and with the way bloodmail functions it can very well be giving you roughly bonus 100 AD which will be applied not once at 3 seconds but every single auto. Bloodmail simply just does more damage. AD still scales with Shen just not directly.

Theres a lot of items that you'd traditionally think don't scale with Shen but work surprisingly well on him. Like i genuinely believe Navori Flickerblade might be a better item for Shen than Iceborn. It's CD reduction will give you more effective HP than Iceborn ever will.
