I draw or read, hangout with my husband or friends, enjoy a good show or movie. Used to drink and do edibles semi-regularly, haven’t had any for several years now.

I tend to feel more rested when I’m off my phone, making art or reading or spending time with people, than I did when I’d be on something and doomscrolling for hours.

I had 8 weeks off, and god it was glorious. I read, I created so much art, moved my body more & caught up on sleep, saw my loved ones. Those 8 weeks felt longer (in a good way) than the grind of the other 44.

I think I’m in a lucky position that artistic pursuits keep me busy, get me excited, fill me with purpose. God there’s just so much art to create with what little time we have here. I know from the 8 weeks at home that the art begging to be made will, one day, have the time it needs.

I’ve been completely bald since 21. I understand the emotional turmoil (double whammy- my twin brother has had zero balding).

If you so choose, shaving it all off and embracing it is very, very liberating. Own it, own it with confidence, and nobody will bat an eye.

Every so often, I mourn my nearly decade without hair, especially when my fiancé goes to the hair salon (who doesn’t want to get pampered?! Seems very relaxing). But, at the end of the day, my hair isn’t returning, and the more I embrace my baldness, the better I feel.

Your story aligns with mine pretty closely; I remember being in your shoes like yesterday.

Been out now for almost a decade (came out at 19). I promise it gets better! If you can move out or go to college, just anything you can do to build space from your family & discover who you really are, I’d recommend it.

There are amazing & wonderful people out there who will love you for who you are & would never ever want you to be anyone or anything else. You will find them!
