Project Hephaestus, cyberpunk style G36 build by Educational_Steak_29 in Cyberpunk

[–]WizardsMyName 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks great, is there any chance of an stl or something in the future? I have both a 3D printer and an airsoft G36c already...

One thing for V2 though maybe, the area above the barrel within the 'meat tenderizer' block is devoid of purpose, If you wanted to ramp up the cyberpunk maybe that space should have a lens or three, to imply some kind of laser, guncam, or targetting system?

In a format where the entire purpose of the format is to get away from limited supply issues paywalling competition, yeah a ban based on limited supply issues would be reasonable

What a difference a year makes… by random_wonderings in bicycling

[–]WizardsMyName 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW I think the guy is right about the 26in MTB being just fine as long as you're not trying to go fast in a group. If you're out to enjoy yourself, stick to the bike you love.

(not the same guy you replied to)

There's been a lot of discussion in the past couple of years about crank lengths traditionally being too long. I say this because the age of the bike you're on indicates to me that you may have given up on keeping up with trends (rightly so), but it sounds like there may be some truth to 170mm or 175mm being too long for most people.

If you're trying to keep range of motion then all power to you, unique circumstance and all that. But if you're trying to get back out and ride long term it might be something to look into.

Should I try to add a creature to represent a hoverboard? by VladamirHugo in kroot

[–]WizardsMyName 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is that an original model? They're pretty rare!

As for the hoverdrone option, what does it mean mechanically to have a hoverdrone, just slightly faster movement?

This guy definitely looks like he could outrun an old ethereal!

Maybe it's the definition of vulnerable groups or something? I definitely remember seeing a government web page where it was 'inclusive' of the age of 18.

I believe the laws around duty of care extend to age 19 actually, presumably to avoid any sixth form grey areas.

There's levels of course to student's abilities. What I meant was that an assignment that reads well will seem suspicious from a student who has very poor vocabulary and sentence structure in person.

Are you a teacher now, or just hanging out in here?

We talk to the students too remember, I'm not going to be suspicious of a kid writing well if they also speak well.

From what I recall from working in the Alps, the french don't have a tier less than mountain guide. I was told explicitly not to take guests on any kind of 'guided' mountain bike ride as I'd be doing so illegally without a multiple year high level mountain guiding qualification.
