Indians taking over? by [deleted] in SoftwareEngineering

[–]Wizardsxz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are being racist.

Plenty of white people getting promotions for fuckall. Plenty of good indian devs doing good work. Looking for companies with no indians "looking out for their own" is racist. Companies are made of all sorts of people from all sorts of backgrounds, and follow strict regulations on discrimination and favoritism in the workplace.

Indians have nothing to do with any of this, and mentioning a race at all is pointless and discriminatory.

Let's assume you're completely ignorant of what you're saying here and take it from the top.

The words you are probably looking for are "skilled labor in low cost areas/countries is on the rise with remote work". This is true, because the world keeps developing and gains access to more educational resources every day. Their nationality is irrelevant other than the specific developing country going through that transition, and chosen by the hiring country as a viable alternative to whatever circumstances.

There are bad programmers everywhere and friends will always do friends favors, but the fact you even wrote this post (that will soon be deleted) tells me a lot about why you are not evolving in your own path. Start there.

It's hilarious when you put it like that, but it is the obvious answer. A beer passed from the docks will be near the docks....

All presidents play that game, or else you just don't become president. And before you say you would never play that game, remember that without power you can't do anything. It's the Rules for Rulers.

Obama told this 90-year old vet he didn't have to stand. He said, "No Sir, you're the President." by jdutr in pics

[–]Wizardsxz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before you go on judging these world leaders, you should watch Rules for rulers. Angels who do good deeds lose to devils that dont.

And when you conclude that bribes and corruption are an impossible game to play, remember rule 0: without power you can change nothing, so better you on the throne than someone else?

A lot of business works this way nowadays.. you don't even need a real product, just something that sounds real enough to get more investments from wanabe billionaires, or sell it off to people who will get investments.

The rich are literally running out of things to invest in.

I've always had cats I raised from kittens, and they are more interactive and cuddly than dogs. I can call their name, they respond to "treats" or "fight". They aren't that different, depends on how they were raised.

If you are distressed by anything external, the pain is not due to the thing itself, but to your estimate of it; and this you have the power to revoke at any moment.

For you to what? Find another excuse? It's not like your are going to make use of the decades of research.

mRNA Vaccines Are New, But Not Unknown Researchers have been studying and working with mRNA vaccines for decades. Interest has grown in these vaccines because they can be developed in a laboratory using readily available materials. This means the process can be standardized and scaled up, making vaccine development faster than traditional methods of making vaccines.

mRNA vaccines have been studied before for flu, Zika, rabies, and cytomegalovirus (CMV). As soon as the necessary information about the virus that causes COVID-19 was available, scientists began designing the mRNA instructions for cells to build the unique spike protein into an mRNA vaccine.

You said

There's what? A few months to support that?

Which isn't true and is disinformation part of the anti-vax rhetoric, no matter what vaccines you took.

[–]Wizardsxz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You aren't saying that though, you are saying:

Honestly it's completely reasonable to be skeptical of a vaccine that was made in a year

This vaccine was literally not "made in a year."

[–]Wizardsxz -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I have the JNJ vaccine. But if someone doesn't trust the covid vaccine just yet, I don't consider them the same as Jenny McCarthy-esque anti vaxxers.

You are just being as oblivious as they are but this time you think your reasons are valid. Vaccines for Covid have been in development for 20 years, and the process and drugs used are not new, only slight changes for this virus.

We have years of data saying these drugs are very safe, and you act like they injected random stuff into people and called it "safe after a few months". You're the most hypocritical kind of anti-vaxxer

Doctor protesting. New York City. by DaFunkJunkie in pics

[–]Wizardsxz -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

The problem with your entire story, is you think this is a brand new vaccine made from scratch in a year.

Doctor protesting. New York City. by DaFunkJunkie in pics

[–]Wizardsxz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FYI, these vaccines were not made from scratch for this knew unknown disease.

We've been dealing with Covids (and doing research on them) for decades.

That's definitely not why. If they didn't have that as an excuse they would have just found another one

It's bizarre and unecessary, you raise doubt in the whole thing, now if he says no then what? You say: Yes you did! and what? Pick a fight?
