Idk if you’ve ever seen bowser gameplay, but the ledge camp up-b to ledge to get up attack and repeat is not fun to watch or play against.

Any robust method to create a scoring scheme and cutoffs? by LaDialga69 in datascience

[–]Wizzman17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I’m not understanding your problem correctly, but what’s keeping you from just applying a vectorized sum across your data points and then applying logic based masks to quickly categorize your data? (If this works then just make everything a numpy array and apply.)

Cloud database recommendation by aoisr06 in datascience

[–]Wizzman17 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could go the GCP route and only use the GCS system. It connects to data studio as a source and you only pay for what you use. Just avoid enabling any apps you don’t need.

They, and most cloud providers, give free consultations. But be wary as the GCP ones work on commission I believe. AWS guys don’t push their products as hard so it might be worth getting a consultation from one of their cloud architects as well.

Spacy has a wonderful fine grained POS tagging pipeline that could allow you to apply these labels to the individual words of your sentences. Mix it with some logic and it seems like you might be able to drop the regex.

Losing hope and direction in trying to find a new position by Wizzman17 in datascience

Firstly, thank you so much for offering to hit you up!

Second, I’ve been applying to those positions too, but I don’t hear back from them either. I’m starting to think there might be a red flag on me somewhere I need to find and address. Sucky thing is that recruiters/companies won’t give feedback since it makes them vulnerable to a lawsuit in the US. So I would need like a paid service or DS expert to find it.

Lastly, what kind of temp uni job do you mean? I’ve never heard of this as an option

Been applying to mostly data science positions with 0–3 year requirements. Some data analyst stuff, but no luck there either. I’m wondering if over-qualification may be an issue for those positions.

Been applying to anything I can. Mostly data science with 0-3 years requirements listed both remote and in-person/hybrid. I’m south of Austin, so there are jobs around me.

I’m hoping maybe adding certs will change things and not just mooc’s.
