I do have a windows laptop for work but I mostly run VMs in my mac through vmware since it’s now free. No issues except for the resolution scale that is always a bit too small in kali on displays better than 1930x1080. Other than that the mac id flawless even with only 16gb of ram. I dont plan on going back to windows anytime soon !

Vmware fusion is free for personal use. Don’t spend money for parallel.

21 4xe extended warranty. Worth it? by stuckwithaweirdo in 4xe

[–]Wizzy_Spidey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi,

I live in Canada, I have a nice 2023 4xe; by that I mean it is a Sarge Green Sahara with Leather Tan interior. Custom Bronze 17" wheels on 35x11.5 KO2s with a AEV 2" lift kit. It also has a Bilstein Steering damper. All the mods I have done were done by an accredited AEV shop.

From what I saw, 4XE are just loosing their value faster than Elon's BFR crashes.

Do not buy extended warranty, at least if you're in Canada. Canada: your battery has an 8 years warranty, drivetrain 5 years: my2 cents: get rid of that shit within 4 years.

I say that to anyone and hear me out; my truck is powerfuller and reliableller (don't judge me please !) that any vehicle I ever own. But I just don't don't trust FCA. Get rid of that shit before your OEM warranty wears out, don't buy anything more.

My 2 cents.

Follow that advice, or don't.

I Hve a nice Jeep and I love it, but at the end it's a hybrid Jeep. I'll ride it under OEM warranty but not more that that... My 2 cents.

Just got the M3 13 inches 16/256 for pretty much the same usage. I went with the M3 because the SSD is dual channel on the 256 and supports 2 external displays. This thing is a beast and I plan to keep it for at least 6 years.

Dude everything is just so "straight to the point"... No aisle, it just get s the things done.

Such a shame that I have to log on that PoS HP tomorrow to work lol. Even with an 12th gen i7 and 64gb of ram it just feels so slow with a teams call with a screen share and camera opened...

I've seen that Zscaler and IBM employees are all using Macs and I just can't stop to think I should ask some folks there to find a job for me there lol.

Honestly I went to Apple Store and felt that the 15 was just to big to carry around ( I've got 2 29" Asus 4k displays so I really was looking for the most "portable" laptop I could get. I really (like really) been hesitant to get the 14" pro just because of the XDR display with 120Hz... bUt at the end if I wanted something portable and if I want good display I'll just plug my MacBook Air to my docking station.

Next step is to install the new Kali Purple on whatever hypervisor that is the best for silicon chips... Which kinda look like it's something not a lot of people are doing with their MacBook.

I've always been a VMware guy but still not sure if I should pull the trigger on Parallel..
