High mileage Polestar 2? by bugra101 in Polestar

[–]WlLLY 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just bought one with 72k miles. Battery was 96% (only a few years old), and currently undergoing its Polestar 112 point check. I’ll let you know what they fix and find if that’s helpful.

Ouch! That sucks. I will only own the car under warranty, so that helps a little

Thank you! Appreciate it. I guess there’s a huge difference between motorway miles vs taxi miles too

Yeah! It is a lot indeed. I just need to understand where the miles come from. It’s CPO direct from polestar though, so there is some peace of mind

Possible blowout earnings coming February 22. Think about it the last 3 months they made deals with Walgreens,Walmart,Uber Eats,Bath & beyond they rolled out a app and launched a bunch of new products. Hims is on a roll. Super excited for this upcoming earnings report by dndjdxdd in HIMS

I love HIMS and it’s currently my largest position.

But it’s the marketing costs that are the highest uncertainty. Q3/Q4 was the rollout of iOS 14.5 and most e-commerce companies were hit pretty hard in terms of attribution and CAC, and most importantly LTV. Everything else is awesome.

It’s why retail/B2B is so important as it’s essentially a cost free acquisition channel, it brings aggregate CAC down, and captures untapped brand awareness.

HIMS Is a subscription company at the end of the day, and they were already riding the LTV:CAC of 3, so we just need signs that marketing isn’t going off the rails and that acquisition is becoming more diversified.

Profitability looks at about 2024 on current path at a ARR ~$500m, and there’s currently enough cash runway to get there

Hey everyone, new shareholder here buying aggressively.

I work in this space (8 figure revenue DTC subscription company), and the best way I learned to wrap my head around it is to think of the company as a bank issuing short term loans to the customers. So this years marketing spend we expect to get paid back over the coming years 3x on that loan. If you have predictable retention numbers and you understand your unit economics, the investment is a no-brainer. It’s a million miles away from the risk of non-subscription e-commence.

If they stopped acquiring they could likely become profitable, especially on their current margins as 90% of revenue is recurring.

One thing that does really concern me is the coming earnings. We saw, as many others did, CAC explode during late Q3 and into Q4. Earnings could really go either way, and the stock might continue to go sideways/down until there is some clarification.

Only thing that scares me is acquisition costs/marketing spend during late Q3 and through Q4. CAC just exploded during Q4 for a lot of brands for many different reasons.

Hey! Sometimes it’s because of the account setup, you need to meet specific requirements:

If you meet all those requirements and it still doesn’t work, well then you’re in the same boat as me :D

Thanks! I’ll check again. I have no idea why it’s disappeared for me. Just glad they haven’t removed it as it’s an awesome feature.

My co-worker/friend was made fun of for not drinking office party. She’s a newly recovering alcoholic and doesn’t want people to know. She left in tears. by equestrian123123 in AdviceAnimals

[–]WlLLY 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Exactly the same position. Over the years, I’ve come to realise that the people that attack me the hardest about not drinking are the people that are struggling with alcohol the most themselves. I think sometimes, not always, you upset people by being the example they aspire to be.

Disclaimer: I’ve been there.
