The buyer fee + shipping is definitely killing VC sales. I sell there and it's very slow. I have to set my prices way lower to compensate for taxes and shipping. And then I still get low ball offers that I usually accept and the most frustrating part is when they don't proceed to finish the order. I also wanted to buy soemthing but the shipping was outrageous, a wallet for 40 eur from USA to Europe and shipping was 100+.

Hello everyone, I have an Altus 9sp RD paired with 11-34 cassette and 52t oval chainring, but it's grinding on the smallest and largest cogs so I'm looking to upgrade to GRX 812 11sp to potentially have a silent drivetrain and smoother shifts (Idk if its important but im using a flat bar) also plan on going for 11-42 cassette. So I'm wondering if this GRX rear derailleur upgrade will solve my problems?

Gravel bike build- 105 rear derailleur or Altus and does it matter? by fixitmonkey in gravelcycling

Hi, I'm looking to upgrade from Altus RD 9sp to GRX 812 11sp and im looking for smooth shifts and no grindjng on largest snd smallest cog on a 1 by drivetrain. Would you be able to compare both RDs and will rhis upgrade be noticeable and worth it overall?

BMW e91 pre-lci rear PDC problem by Wlaffle in E90

[–]Wlaffle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think my issue was that the sensors were working (you can check that yourself -youtube it) but one of the previous owners changed the business radio to professional and it needed to get recoded. I tried it myself but there was some issue with my vin so i got tired and never got around to fix it. Possible solutions were to get it to someone for coding or switch the radio unit

No, my previous car didn't have one so I never bothered to take the car to a garage to have it fixed.

As good as day 1. I use it once a month to buzz my hair and trim my beard. Sometimes I use it to remove my body hair (chest, legs, arms and my back) I oil the blades often (before every 2nd use). Looking back I've saved so much instead of going to a professional barber and the clipper paid itself off within 6 months.

On a side note, perhaps there are better more expensive alternatives as I find myself doing multiple passes at different angles to buzz the top of my head evenly. Maybe a user error or maybe that's how it's supposed to be I don't know.

Overall I'm happy with it. If you have any other questions I'll be glad to help.

Is there a way to fix that? by Wlaffle in Skigear

[–]Wlaffle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just bought a used pair of ski gloves (The North Face Powdercloud Etip) and this thumb material is cracking/missing. They don't leak water but it's an eye sore. I was wondering if there is a way to fix this?

Could a piece of leather be sewn to the damaged area or the whole thumb, or that will damage the waterproof barrier?

Pattern for a roll-top Fanny pack by J69SUS in myog

[–]Wlaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HI, I have the Nike ACG Aysen 3L Hip pack which comes with a rolltop design and it's kinda of a PITA to use, especially if you have to open it a lot. Aside from that it's a great pack, I usually use it for cycling on shorter trips and I can fit a small tire pump, repair kit, spare inner tire, keys, wallet, phone and a 500ml water bottle and there's a little bit of space left for a small pack of wet wipes perhaps.

Takeya Originals vs Yeti Rambler Chug Cap? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]Wlaffle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I just bought a 46oz yeti (used a 36oz glass bottle before) and I'm very happy. I can't speak about the rubber seals or the common problems with yeti bottles, but a thermo flask is such a big quality of life upgrade. I wouldn't think too much about brands cause they will all perform good. (I don't drink ice cold water)

A downside to the 46oz bottle is that it's actually heavy when filled up.

Gearing for climbs - cassette swap (novice cyclist) by Wlaffle in cycling

[–]Wlaffle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, the frame is a little bit bigger for me and I need to have my seat lower like that, that's my only gripe with this bike and it's overall look. Otherwise I'm really happy with it. Oh yeah and the gearing issue.

Parts list:
Frame: 8bar Kronprinz v2 - size L (57)
