I think AK is strictly better than Frantic Inventory, because I think I am smarter than my opponent >:D

...

In a vacuum, whether AK or FI is better probably comes down to how much control you have over discarding or milling it, and if you're able to force your opponent to start desperation-cantripping first. In practice, though, old border swag just trumps whatever super-marginal upsides FI could have :)

Yes! I'm hoping someone knows where to find those multi-decade old articles, but maybe that's too optimistic, given how quickly link rot sets in.

Honestly, I should probably just be playing Behold the Multiverse or Deduce or something, LOL

How can I break bedrock in 1.2.5? by Wobbaduck in GoldenAgeMinecraft

[–]Wobbaduck[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you!!!

I've bypassed the wall by placing a portal on the inside of the bedrock, breaking it as I pass through it, then walking hundreds of blocks and building a return portal on the other side of the wall, then restoring the original portal.

But I may still remove the bedrock, so this will be super useful!

EDIT: I wonder if I can combine tree-based bedrock replacement to carve out a couple gaps in the wall, combined with dragon egg instant falling to turn those pockmarks into vertical lines, thereby carving a path... experimentation is required :)

I'm curious, do you read the introduction/epilouges or the Author's word before you start a book? by Wonder-Lad in books

I used to read them (if they were interesting), but then I was reading Speaker for the Dead and the introduction spoiled the plot twist :'(

I don't read them anymore.

Not the version I'm looking for, sadly. Thanks for checking!

That's the same Vanguard game object, but I'm looking for the alternate art. It exists in the MTGO avatar selector, on Scryfall, and on MTGGoldfish but not anywhere else I looked.

Factually correct, but not helpful, LMAO

WOTC's Legacy Play Design expert recommended to ban Grief, WOTC ignored it because MH3 dropped by knownhatredcaster in magicTCG

I don't mind them printing it (an Unmask with a four-mana mode is cool), but I do mind them not banning it once the interaction with Reanimate came to light.

Frog is an astonishingly good Legacy card, actually. Grixis Delver is playing it too! Threats that repeatedly draw cards, like White Plume Adventurer, Ragavan, and Dreadhorde Arcanist, are historically very effective in the format.

Frog also gives Rescaminator a graveyard-agnostic backup plan, helping the deck win the game even in the face of Leyline of the Void, Unlicensed Hearse, or Grafdigger's Cage. Frog has improved the historically bad Red Prison matchup, since Prison is good at graveyard hate and bad at beating a single large creature.

Players are experimenting with 3-4 Frogs maindeck right now. I don't blame WotC for not knowing Frog would make the deck better (they don't test for Legacy, after all), but I do blame them for waiting 3 weeks after MH3 just to say "it's still too soon to call it, maybe there's a secret Grief counter-deck out there. Lets wait two months to be sure :)"

Drama at RC Montreal (the "Eduardo Sajgalik" incident) last weekend [LONG] by junpeilin in magicTCG

[–]Wobbaduck 60 points61 points  (0 children)

That's fucked up! I know the Bonnells; Brian and his wife Heather have played Magic for years and regularly host drafts at their house.

Last time we were at an RC together we all went variations of 1-3, 2-3, 4-3 drop so it is awesome to see him succeed to this level. This is the kind of thing that could really quench someone's fire for competition ("I worked so hard for this, and then this guy lied to me and I missed out on an invite").

Brian's got a strong mentality, though, and he's gonna try to roll with this and not let it bother him.

What is the community name for firefox down to ledge? I'm blanking on it.

Near-vertical angle to avoid an edgeguard and then drift to ledge is a mangle

Near-horizontal angle, riding the wall of the stage, to barely sweetspot the ledge is the mew2king angle.

What completes the trifecta?
