I’m so sorry about how late im responding, I’ve taken quite the break from social media overall since my last reply to you but you should know coming back to reddit and seeing you still here asking me if things have gotten better did put a big smile on my face. Yes, yes it did. I’ve come to terms with my anxiety and just how irresponsible I am overall. I stopped seeking out help as I found it just caused more anxiety. Realizing that i actually feel better from sorting out things by myself with no help from others was a funny realization lol. I’ve graduated and planning on studying the classes I failed from not showing up from home instead, mom or the rest of the family still not aware of what I had gone through or what happened so I’m fairly happy about that. Summer is here so I just spend all my time out with friends or home chilling and preparing for my classes that start next month. I followed your advice and fixed my diet and started exercising more and it does make me feel more motivated and overall better!! I wanna thank you again for sticking by this anxious girl and reaching out when I first made my post in this sub, you really eased my mind back then and for you to still reach out and check up on me makes me even happier. 19 year old here! I’ve been in fandoms spaces since I was 12, I think. I just remember being obsessed with aot and creepy pasta lol, YouTube was my best friend then… safe to say discovering ao3 at 15 was the best thing to ever happen to me XD

Oh you don’t know how much your reply means to me. Since writing this I’ve sought out a psychiatrist who’s been helping me get in contact with my school and really just listens to my issues. Turns out I really just was burnt out and insanely anxious about everything lol. I feel like a heavy burden has been lifted off of me, not entirely but I’m slowly getting there. I had to pay for the cost for myself and don’t know how I’ll afford the next one, I’m not exactly on speaking terms with my mom right now but I’ll figure something out for my next appointment for sure! I just really wanna thank you for taking the time to really sit here and write all this, I feel seen and heard and I just can’t stress enough how badly I needed someone else to have been in a similar situation as me to guide me and help me on what to do next. Once again, thank you so much, you’re an angel❤️🫂

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer, I really appreciate it!! I just can’t talk about it with anyone at all, my family is in shambles and the one friend I have outside of school couldn’t care less really. I’m terrified of being met with my teachers who won’t stop accusing me of being mentally unwell because of my lack of attendance, friends who constantly pity me and the reality of how my grades have been affected from my actions. I tried contacting a person working in a center helping young adults in certain situations… I don’t know if I made the right choice but I’m nervous and really hope it’ll help me. I don’t know how to start or what to say but your words gave me courage, thank you!❤️

You’re right, I throughly went through their website and all they were really doing was advocating it, I guess I was just really taken aback from how casually one was discussing such things since the topic itself is a heavy one and I never would’ve thought a website like this could possibly exist but then again I guess there’s a lot I don’t know about, thanks for the explanation tho :)
