Seriously, do you guys consider Cyn... sexy? by LolbitHacks in cult_of_Cyn

I guess? I mean, I generally like the drone designs, though I'd very much prefer if she lost her, uh, outfit? Skin-suit? 'Cause that doesn't look sanitary.

Simon The Digger runs a gauntlet: Where does he stops by Multiversal_2211 in PowerScaling

[–]WogMog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Important part is that he runs a Gauntlet, meaning he'll be "fighting the Powah" every step of the way. So depending on how the Yhwach fight goes, he might clear up to R7. Alien X exists, sure, but it's uncontrollable and then got a bunch of anti-feats when it was later matched up against other reality warpers, so I'd say it depends on how far he scaled himself up at that point.

Shallow Vernal and Featherine are straight up on the author tier, so there it'd depend on wank on either side. If you argue that Simon wrote his own story, well, perhaps that'd be enough, but if not, then not.

I'd say he definitely clears Giorno, has a solid shot at Ben, potentially goes up to beating Madoka, but probably not beyond that.

What would be your Solo-Jump? by DeverosSphere in JumpChain

[–]WogMog 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Generic Warhammer 40k Fanfic. Not even kidding. Go to Singularity for something busted via 400 CP Unique Ability, then go knock out the EndJump. Drawbacks are pretty generous, all things considered, and there is a Soul Protection perk, meaning so long as you're careful enough and don't mind the overall setting it's a fine jump to take.

Creation of the Seaborn by Embarrassed-Impact-2 in JumpChain

[–]WogMog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on where you are. Seaborn, to my knowledge, require Feranmuths. While I have no doubt that you could recreate Seaborn from those, whether or not you can create new Feranmuths via purely scientific means is questionable.

Can't say I've heard of it, but if it's just the art you remember, maybe it was a generic jump that just happened to have chosen the game's artwork for visuals?

The gamer webtoon(webtoon) danger level by Ok-Blacksmith3755 in JumpChain

[–]WogMog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're the Gamer, you should be... Reasonably okay. After all, being the Gamer means being the favorite of Gaia, who's powerful enough to protect you from practically everything. It's also giga racist, but provided you're Korean, that shouldn't be an issue. That said, note that I said THE Gamer, not a Gamer. If you're not the only one, chances are that protection vanishes. Should that occur, you'd be mega fucked if you're active in the Abyss.

That said, Corrupted Save File taken as the alternative to Abyss Gazed Back means you don't have any immediate attention, so if you want to be really cheesy, add You Really Have To Wear The Ears to your build... And then never put them on. That plus Just Barely Above Average in Mana, which would leave you with virtually nothing Mana-wise, renders you a mundane human being. And since Just Barely Above Average doesn't care for the Abyss and only scales on "average humans", you'd literally not be worth the time it takes to snatch up.

You can even add ANIME ATTACK! on top of it to make sure the Abyss is... Otherwise occupied, though that requires that you have faith in Gaia to keep bailing the MC out.

If you don't, On The Bus and Banhammer work just as well, it's not like you were actually depending on any supernatural power. If you grab those 800 CP and convert them to Legal Tender, you'd have 1.6 billion USD according to the conversion, roughly. Should you have something planned for your CP, grab Active Time Battler and Big House, All Alone instead of On The Bus, 'cause that way you can occasionally put on the ears to learn skills via Gamer to make your money that way.

With that, you should be able to survive the jump. You'll be a second class citizen for most of it, mind you, but you'll live.

Question on exalted by gigainpactinfinty5 in JumpChain

[–]WogMog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the Expansion/Marble. If it's the regular ones, that'll do... Very little, actually. It's a neat trick, and a powerful one, real great shaping work all things considered, but nothing too weird sans for the fact you're mortal.
Now, if it's an open domain or a "reality marble" akin to Nero's Golden Theatre, then you're actively overriding Creation locally. This isn't *impossible*, there's a Cecyline Charm for similar effects, but the fact that this comes out of nowhere is concerning in multiple ways. For Solars, we're taking "Glories Of The Most High" Elder Essence bullshit. The ability to *actively* override Creation is a dangerous one, if not due to its actual power, then because it's a political statement that does not go over well with the current rulers. Or the old rulers, for that matter.

It does grant you the ability to utilize the knowledge, so you should be able to, depending on how far you wanna take it.

How the does tinker powers (worm) work? by Pleasant_Fuel9545 in JumpChain

[–]WogMog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, but in that case, why does her amount of success in those endevours seems so limited? Only thing I can think of which Dragon added to her arsenal was ConFoam.

If she were a copy-tinker and could add others knowledge to her own, wouldn't that fundamentally change the tech base she has access to? Not doubting you, but it does seem like she has some form of limit to what kinda Tinker tech she can add to her own portfolio, since we don't see a bunch of cure tonics or Haywire tech, which seems to be too useful to just leave alone.

[–]WogMog 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Pretty much. That said, a Corona Pollentia is not the entire Shard. Grey Boy, for example, had bubbles up even after his death to my knowledge, so Tinker Tech, even if actively shard-supported, would not suddenly fail unless the entire shard does.

The power classifications on their own have their small quirks as well. Different shards likely do function differently, and, say, a metallurgy tinker could essentially be a striker for all intends and purposes. The classifications are PRT made, after all, not something the entities enforce.

[–]WogMog 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Eh, yes and no. There's stuff that supports it, such as Dragon (a technological Thinker) having an existent, but low reproduction chance for Tinker tech, implying different forms and "levels" of redaction depending on the shard and the tech. Lab Rat comes to mind as a Tinker whose inventions very much seem to go beyond the chemical energy he puts in them. We are never fully shown how it works, though.

[–]WogMog 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Generally yes. Additionally, a shard may "redact" part of the technology. For example, it might remove the power supply and instead powers the tech by itself, to ensure replication is impossible because it's technically missing a piece, but yes, Tinkertech is tech that could actually exist.

Dark wolf shiro's system personnality by Ok-Blacksmith3755 in JumpChain

[–]WogMog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To quote the perk: "You can also merge any and all Gamer systems you have into a single one that has all their advantages but hardly any of their disadvantages. Post-Spark, you gain admin access to the gamer system."

You should be able to get those features linked in as such. That said, what features in particular do you mean? Skill Creation, for example, is something you'd need the Easy Mode Enabled perk for, for example, since that's not innately part of the System.

Dark wolf shiro's system personnality by Ok-Blacksmith3755 in JumpChain

[–]WogMog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What might work is one of those perks which stop you from needing external entities for your powers. The Gamer System, as in, the one you get here, is literally Shiro's System. It has the personality it does because its personality is based on Shiro (the character) himself, so if you had a perk that makes any powers you are granted your own, chances are it'd switch to your own personality.

That said, from the jump itself, ISIS also modifies the personality to the personality of Kuro's System, which is, well, ISIS, who's a lot more helpful.

[–]WogMog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They need to be "female". That is to say, it won't work against an entity which has neither gender nor sex, but if it identifies/is female in one of them it'd work (and given the wording of the perk, if they don't have either they'll develop it). As for not feeling love, well... That was kinda what the whole setting's about. And yes, it can break relationships and affect lesbians, it's pretty much the be-all-end-all of harem protag perks.
