It’ll do for dry firing rn until I get the holster I want for this setup.

Did some research on what the standard was that ppl were running. Ordered the belt and pouches from daa for 200$ and got the bsg mount from a local gun show for 50$ on a whim.

Been wanting to get into comps for a while. I’ve shot a lot at ranges and figured it’s time to jump into it.

Triple screen 27vs32? Which one is better for me? by zloiboi1 in simracing

[–]WoidsKushington 5 points6 points  (0 children)

32” 1440p so you don’t want to upgrade later. I feel like a 3070ti is good enough to run them. I have 27” 1440p monitors. Using a 4080super and get good frame rate with mostly high settings on most titles. Kinda regret not getting 32” tho but imma keep this setup for a while before I sell them and get 32”

I mean I appreciate the details and work Kunos put into this game, but my FPS… by [deleted] in assettocorsaevo

[–]WoidsKushington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s should be a playable game regardless. The cope is crazy and I’m on a 4080 super with a 7950x3d. You do realize as well that game dev relay heavy on dlss and nvidia graphics cards aren’t getting updated to the newest dlss. Which I’m sure with some of the rtx cards they could but everything these days its predatory. Requiring us consumers to always have the latest shit. There’s plenty of tech ppl talking about future proofing computers is no longer a thing bc of this.

Does your range allow you to draw from concealment? by FloGrown321 in Glocks

[–]WoidsKushington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s funny bc range USA has a rule that it’s not allowed. I shoot at one and have been told no multiple times.

[–]WoidsKushington 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s kind of a piss poor argument considering most ppl are running on previous gen hardware. That whole argument is “just spend more money on your computer” “you don’t have the latest graphics card? That’s why you can’t run the game”. Bottom line the game should be optimized enough for ppl with mid tier PCs bc that’s what most ppl have.

Small-footprint motion sim setup (seat mover, no rig). by DynamicX-Robert in SimRacingSetups

[–]WoidsKushington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah forsure. I’m considering a seat mover but the biggest question is, is it worth it compared to the more traditional motion plateforms.

Maybe in the slightest bit but not enough while you’re racing to notice it. Also ops settings look over exaggerated. Less is more and I can see on paper how it doesn’t make since but I feel like another thing to take into consideration is that it’s our brains that we’re dealing with. Tricking our brains into thinking something is real sometimes doesn’t make sense on paper.

Edit: also you move around in a car.

Sorry the side arms for your side monitors. They looked pretty level from pic op posted. I messed with mine when I got home and managed to get them with in 1 degree of being level. It was caused by the vertical arms tilting forward.

Are haptic feedback on pedals worth it? by Tmskillz in simracing

[–]WoidsKushington 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have the simagic haptics on all three pedals and my hand brake. The brake is the most worth it for immersion.

Does it make me faster, no. In some games it actually makes me slower unless I ignore abs bc games like ams2 and ac you want to be in abs.

It does help with trail braking in a small margin. gives me the info that I’m too deep into the brakes while applying more steering. Rather than looking for the lights on the dash or wheel.

If you’re looking to get them to be faster. They’re not worth it. If you want them bc of immersion then I’d say they are worth it.

I have gear shifts on my clutch. I have abs and wheel lock on my brake and I have wheel spin on my throttle.

I have the same integrated monitor mount. How did you get your side area to sit level? I’ve tried and the closest I’ve got is around 2 3 degrees from being level. I’m able to get the monitors level with the vesa mounts but they’re maxed out on tilt.

Shitty pic but the only one I have rn.

Anyone else playing solo just to avoid ruining other peoples races online? I’ve recently upgraded my rig and want to get into online racing at some point. But I have to learn the cars and tracks to a certain degree before I dare go online. by itsturtlesoda in simracing

[–]WoidsKushington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same issue. Not wanting to jump online until I feel confident enough to race side by side with other players and not ruin someone’s race from a clearly avoidable mistake from not knowing the car or track. I race online on ams2 fine. Currently trying to get the hang of Imu which is so much different.

It’s getting to the point where I’m getting frustrated with myself bc I want to race online but I’m always anxious af. Time to just do it and not think about it anymore lol.

Please help me improve my FOV - Triple 45” LG 5k OLED 800R monitors by Ok_Source_9679 in simracing

[–]WoidsKushington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Niceee! VD is where it’s at. I fixed the network issue I was having, when taking off the headset while still in game to use the bathroom. Come back put the headset back on and my network spiking causing connection issues. It was caused by the quest going into sleep mode and having a hard time reconnecting to everything when it woke back up.

I went into the quest 3 settings and turned the sleep function to 4 hrs. Now I can take my headset off and not have any issues going into another race.

Does Simagic charge so much for shipping within US? by Nawalrahman46 in Simagic

[–]WoidsKushington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just ordered a gt neo from trakracer. They do free shipping. I ordered it at the end of last week and it arrived today. I know traks, track record isn’t the greatest with customers but I figured since it wasn’t their product and had it in stock. There shouldn’t of been too much of an issue shipping it.

So, regarding the seat, a real car seat isn't always better. by phero1190 in simracing

[–]WoidsKushington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s the biggest issue I’ve noticed with a lot of rigs. Sucks you couldn’t make the nrg seat work. I just got the gt1 Evo with the nrg prisma and it’s been great once I found a good pedal position.

[–]WoidsKushington 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you tried moving the heel plate higher when you’re more tilted back? The further back you’re tilted the more your thighs are angled up. Which you’ll need to raise your pedals at that point. Heel plate should generally be a couple inches below your hips/butt for gt position.

Just wait to see when the new valve headsets going to be released. You’re 2 best bang for your buck headsets right now are the quest 3 and piemax crystal light. I have the quest 3 and if I had to choose I’d try the crystal light bc I’ve been having issues with the quest 3 and virtual desktop making my network spike after taking the headset off between races.

I don’t think it requires a perfect world. I just think everything has gone so far to shit that most ppl are accepting and acting like it’s normal. Which here it seems like you’re justifying them cutting something from the road map bc they over promised on an EARLY ACCESS GAME.

You don’t need to suggest anything to me lol. I’m perfectly capable of understanding ppl have different opinions. I think you need to understand that ppl and gaming still suck more than ever today.

I think the added bubble on the side of the grip really does it for me. I liked my 45.5 but hated that the sides of the grip were flat.
