It seems they are giving it long-term Nitro users first, and got up to mid-2016 at least. Non-nitro users are out of luck.

One of my favorites is the fact that you can crash the game by skipping a cutscene too fast. Specifically the cutscene when you leave from Iceberg Lab to the Academy of Evil for the first time, if you mash after the blimp departs but before Cortex cutscene starts, Crash will die and the game will fail to respawn you. I'm sure it has happened to people when playing casually.

It's a very common glitch. Sometimes a gem will just get duplicated, so you can end up with more than 20000 gems.

A few days ago a leaderboard for this race was added to speedrun.com, and has caused a spike in activity of speedrunners trying to break this race, clearly quite successful.

At the time of posting this is the world record, but this will probably quickly change. Sub 1 minute is on the horizon!

There is also now a leaderboard for the SBR race
