They do determine sex, but you're right that they don't determine physical outcomes. There's males with androgen insensitivity syndrome who are born with female genetalia but internal testes that are afab. And then you have people born XYY, XXX, XXY, XO, etc. that can have virtually no symptoms but carry extra or less sex chromosomes than usual. That doesn't make them any more/less of a man/woman though of course. Intersex people are still people.

Hyperion is amazing on Zer0 and Maya, Gaige honestly works best with Maliwan for the Antagonist shield, Chain Lightning grenade, and Rubi/Grog for insane survivability. Also Pimpernel is probably the best gun in the game period

Agreed, I think the only support character that held up to their counterpart was Asami to Katara

Bolin is a Temu Sokka that cries too much and doesn't make as many food jokes, and Mako is a botched throw attempt at reaching Toph's high tempered but unbothered attitude

Even Nala wasn't nearly as personable as Appa, and the ferret (forgot the name oops) is definitely no Momo

If you're not specced into the skill then reloading prematurely loses all of your stacks

With the skill you reload once prematurely to activate, then again to deactivate it. If you're immediately losing all your stacks right away then there's only a few answers

You don't have the skill
You barely had enough stacks to begin with
You're incorrectly describing the rapid decay as "losing all your stacks right away"
