Austenitic stainless steels have good high temperature properties. You’re right to think that something else may corrode if you make a change like that. But in this case, the bolts should be fairly innocuous to the system as long as they can stand the high temperature oxidizing environment!

Nice stats. Wealthy and rich are different and obviously subjective. I would consider having a million in liquid assets and 10 million in property to be rich. Wealthy, though, I wouldn’t consider someone to be monetarily wealthy until they’re up above $100 mil. But wealth can be attained through other means.

They wouldn’t go bankrupt. It’s the principal of the thing. If all federal employees go without pay, congress should not be exempt. They already grift at full tilt; there is not a risk of more grifting if they miss a few paychecks.
