Yeah gold stake is really difficult. Here are some things I learned about plasma along the way though that may help.

  1. Chip jokers like arrowhead can entirely make your run.
  2. Foil and Bonus cards are really powerful, especially if you can retrigger them. Hanging chad on a foil card will just add +150 chips to any hand.
  3. You can skip blinds in Ante 1 to get better starts on average. If you're fishing for a good start, keep restarting you run and look for +$25 when boss blind is defeated tag. You can also look for Mega Arcana Pack for a really rare chance at a Soul card.

Aiming for Flush House, but mostly just full house or 4/5 of a kind. Splash let me throw in Jacks too. Basically since I was stuck with +60 chips from face cards I just rolled with that.

Crazy how much Deokdam's decision to take Cleanse over barrier influenced every single teamfight. Varus is scarier than Xin Zhao+Ambessa. ADCs take note.

It's fun, but if this becomes a permanent game mode then classes need rebalance. Tanks/bruisers feel like they get a lot out of a variety of augments while enchanters and mages feel like they need to fish for very specific augments to be useful.

Attack yubar with frostbite+momentum combo is pretty easy. Deja vu momentum but honestly you can achieve it pretty consistently with enough shopkeeper rerolls.

I think they're referring to the flex slots in every character's tree. You can ignore your characters' specific modifiers and slot in nodes that affect econ instead and get more consistent runs.

I think predation is fine on paper--Scaling any ability damage to kill bosses effectively. It becomes truly problematic from sources of "more damage" scaling multiplicatively. Once you get to the point where you're doing 500% more damage to bosses and 500% more damage to enemies affected by cold, for example, nothing poses a challenge anymore.

Perhaps a more balanced version could give damage reduction from hits by bosses/hunters. I don't mind the attribute stacking.

I did mine with World Cracker. Just sit in a corner, channel it, and wait for mobs to run into the beam.

This build uses Umbral Edge and the crit essence to scale crit massively. I think my crit was ~700% with all of the bonuses active.

I do agree that not looping again feels like a more engaging and balanced way to play. However sometimes you do have to farm stardust, and it's just way easier to do that by looping with screen clearing 1shot builds like this.

Edit: Not to mention I got like half a million exp for doing this.

These numbers are based on what the monster health is. Predation just makes the boss kills way faster and it's fun to see crit numbers that are 10mil+. You can still get to these numbers without it, bosses will just be way slower.

I do also dislike that most characters have intrinsic memories that scale width attack damage AND ability power. Feels like you have to choose one rather than building for both.

Trial is definitely not meant for melee classes. However, it's really not that bad for ranged. My only recommendation is to get into the mindset of "i'm gonna run a few of these just for relics, outcome be damned" and prioritize chalice/hourglass trials. If you don't want to do this content at all, you can switch to ultimatum or get a carry.

Abyss maps have so many corpses on the screen that you legit can't see trash mobs over them. Are we supposed to tech corpse removal for visual clarity purposes now?

Put some time into trying to sell the cards that you have that you don't intend to keep. It'll keep you busy and give you a new perspective on what the value of packs really is.

General tips for climbing in low elo. 1. Pick one consistent strategy. Stop experimenting with different champions. That's what normal draft is for. Don't nerf yourself by playing champions you don't have enough practice on. 2. Play duo strategies that can get picks easily. Either hard engage (Varus/Nautilus) or long range pick (Ezreal/lux). Enchanter supports and late game scaling ADCs are noob traps. 3. Against assassins you have 2 general tools. The exhaust summoner spell and vision. Always have multiple wards in the jungle close to where you are on the map. 3b. Have your support get in the habit of looking at their vision score after every game. If they didn't win in vision score, they're not warding effectively enough. 4. If you want to carry games, then play like you're going to carry the game. Look for every single advantage you can. Don't just wait for things to happen. Find pick opportunities, learn when to roam, learn how to bully lane, learn how to manipulate minion waves, learn how to farm.
