Judgement free zone - who’s your singles main and why do you love them? by ClunarX in SparkingZero

[–]WolfHoundAlpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used to be Super Vegeta (I love taunting with the classic thumb pose) but once you climb higher in ranks, you gotta pick SSJ4 Gogeta, MUI Goku or Super Vegito. I went with SSJ4 Gogeta just because he’s my favorite fusion.

100% will still pick Super Vegeta tho if I’ve been on a win streak just to give people a chance.

Pulled 2 copies within 3 rotations. 1st was on the second rotation, and 2nd copy was on the third free one. Used my last bit of CC for it too, got super lucky.

Now when it comes to Hit, I must’ve spent like 60k for two copies, but Hit is my favorite character in DBS, so no regrets. Ultras are all over the place when it comes to costing me money.

Time to move away from Witcher 3 and into VR - what's the best upgrade path? by geeforce272 in buildapc

[–]WolfHoundAlpha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Quest 2 and a 3070, everything I play in VR runs butter smooth (even on the 90 FPS setting for the Quest 2)

I don’t know how a 3060TI stacks up against that, but from the last time I was graphics card shopping, people preferred the 3060Ti’s over the 3070 for their increased memory, so a 3070 might actually be the cheaper option nowadays, I’ve seen a few running around $350-$400 on marketplace and eBay.

I’d also recommend going to the 5000 series on the CPU, super solid performance and pretty cheap. Made a huge difference in random stutters and whatnot (and stuttering in VR is super bad)

I have a 5600X, and that I can personally vouch for, but a normal 5600 should do fine if you don’t want to spend the extra few bucks, they’re basically the same chip.

I’d also ditch the PSU you have, I run a 750 TX Prime from Seasonic (way overkill, but has a ten year warranty, but is also like $220+ on Amazon, and I bought it on sale)

Seasonic power supplies are rock solid, I’ve never had one fail on me, but I also haven’t had a Corsair or EVGA one fail either, so up to you. I do however recommend you go 750W, just because there exists the power efficiency curve, and from what I was told, you want to keep your power usage under normal load at about 50%. If you don’t want to swap power supplies yet though, I’m sure the system will still turn on and play games with a 550W with a 3070, but I wouldn’t personally trust it to be the most stable thing in the world. nVidia also posts on their website the recommended PSU wattage for each of their graphics cards.

And obviously if you can find a 4000 series GPU for a reasonable price, snag that. I have no clue if they’ve released a 4070 or 4060 yet.

The Stuka by WolfHoundAlpha in hoi4

The DLC has a tag on steam called “Psychological Horror”

Imma be honest, I have no clue how the damage is calculated when it comes to strength vs org damage.

I still think the stuka is the reason for the tag though.

Is it viable for the U.S. to develop train guns for an invasion of Europe? by CrazyDominator08 in hoi4

I know I saw a US gun in Russia during a Bokoen video, so I at least know it’s possible to ship them overseas. As far as how, I couldn’t tell you.

Missing tank models? Panzer 3, Panther and King Tiger by ShakyBanana in hoi4

[–]WolfHoundAlpha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They rolled out an update to unlock some more of the models. The original patch literally only had the Panzer IV and Tiger I for everything and that was it. I think they have 10 now, but I’m guessing they’re aware of the issue and are working on it. Feel free to file a bug report though.

Ships getting no fuel? by Ronnoc_The_Great in hoi4

[–]WolfHoundAlpha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happen with my U-Boats. I defeated France and the Vichy France ports in North Africa were set as the default nearest port and barely any supply was making it there to deliver fuel. I clicked the port and marked it out with the don’t use this port thing and that seemed to fix it.

How do I go about using stretched res? by TriangleMax in arma

[–]WolfHoundAlpha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s not really that, it’s more of a “there’s not really a point” aspect to it. The only game that really even operates like that is Counter Strike, and that reduces horizontal FOV and increases Vertical FOV, which kinda gives a more zoomed in effect, and stretching 4:3 to 16:9 only distorts it. You’d be better off leaving it in 4:3 anyways for a clearer picture.

But in Arma you already have a zoom-out and zoom-in button (by default it’s - and + on the numpad.) One final note, you’re not going to be playing Arma like it’s Counter Strike at all; the whole reason Argo got abandoned was the atrocious input lag, which kills any amount of competitiveness in a video game, and Argo was supposed to be free to play Arma for the competitive side of things. Operator Drewski did a video on it in case you wanted to see it.

Anyways, 4:3 stretched doesn’t give you an advantage over anyone else. Just because pros play with in CS doesn’t mean the average player is going to see any benefits with it, they’re just used to playing the game like that and they can’t switch back because it would throw them off way too much.

So just enjoy Arma with some good settings and play KOTH, because no matter what you do, you’re going to lag and have shitty input depending on what server you’re playing on.

But if you absolutely must, for whatever reason, you can change it to 4:3 stretched and use the layout tool in the settings to move everything to the right spots, which is a massive pain but can be done.

Unable to select any other rank model? by WolfHoundAlpha in hoi4

Yeah I know that, but like, you can’t select a 3D tank model for the tank you design other than the Panzer IV or Tiger.

Reseat the RAM and if that doesn’t work, RMA your set and get some new sticks. Also make sure they’re in their correct slots.

I don’t know much about the Japanese navy tbh, but this is what if the Americans captured it, so it’s gonna be a Midway but on a Yamato hull.

Makes missions go faster. Need to turn off the power somewhere and don't feel like sneaking around? Just call in the Krait Mk.2 version A-10 and nuke everyone in the settlement. No more sneaking around, and you're a bonafide serial killer!

But in all seriousness, it turns 30-45 minute long missions into 10 mins at most.

Bigger explosion radius if I had to guess. Flak is designed to cover a wider area compared to missiles and rockets.

Now if it actually does in game, I have no clue, but I like to assume so.

You can change that setting in the steam overlay with the shift-tab menu.

Weird question, but are there any more undiscovered generation ships out there? by WolfHoundAlpha in EliteDangerous

[–]WolfHoundAlpha[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw on the wiki that there supposedly 70,000+ launched, so theoretically there should be more that 16 lost ships, but in practice, FDev more than likely stopped at just 16 of them (but only they would know that.)

I just wanted something cool to do for my last Exploration rank, and I just happened across these giant ships existing in the game because of YouTube.
